Habitat/Range: It can be found on every region of the world except in Antarctica. Normally it preferred location is where there is human population. At most of the place it can be can be found into garbage, sewages, open field, woodlands etc. The habitat region is temperate, tropical as well as terrestrial.

The circulatory system functions to deliver oxygen nutrients and hormone to cell of the other body parts. The pulmonary circulation carries blood through the lungs foe oxygen and then back to the heart. Systemic circulation moves blood through the body after it has left the heart. The circulation system helps by pumping oxygen and rich blood to the hearts and body .It also helps to remove waste and carbon dioxide in blood. It has four chambered hearts. It has caudal artery that brings bold to the tail. The heart in Rat is four chambered. The top two chambers are called right and left atrium, while the bottom two chambers are known as right and left ventricle. Blood is consists of plasma and blood cells. Osmoregulation: By the control and increasing the length of the loop of Henle and the brine concentration within the medulla of the kidney they are able to survive almost entirely on metabolic water. It also regulates through hair and sweat glands.

Lungs contain large number of minute alveoli in which external respiration takes place. Surrounding the lungs and the heart is a thoracic cage containing long, curved bones called ribs. Below the lungs is a diaphragm which divides the trunk into an upper thorax and a lower abdomen. The ribs and the diaphragm play a major role in the breathing movement’s inspiration and expiration.

Impact on Humans:
It has been widely used in medical and genetic research. It has huge importance in physiology, genetics, immunology, pathology and epidemiology.

It also carries diseases like plague, typhus, trichinosis, tularemia, infectious jaundice, and many other serious illnesses. It is the huge destructor of property including crops, human food storage, and parts of
