Case Study Of CW Holland's Relationship With Kinzie

CW Holland made initial contact with Kinzie at the DSS office. CW Holland spoke with Kinzie alone and in private. She stated that she is 15 years old. She is in the 9th grade. She commented that she is homeschool by her mother and her neighbor. She commented that she use to be in public school but she believes that her mother liked homeschool better so she was taken out of public school. She commented that she goes go to Co-oop where she does a lot of stuff like cooking and sewing. She commented that she lives with her sister, Kaimberlyn, her mother, and her older sister and that sister’s boyfriend. CW inquired of her mother had a boyfriend and she denied that her mother does. She commented that her mom has a husband by the name of Mike. She commented that Mike is her father.

She commented that as a family they watch movies and go on trips. Kinzie feels safe at home. She denied that she is afraid of anyone. CW inquired if she is ever left alone with her father. Kinzie denied that she is left alone with her father. She commented that her dad lives in Newberry and goes back and forth. She stated that her mom pretty much takes care of everything. She commented that her mother takes her and her sister to all of their appointments. She stated that her mother or sister cooks dinner for her. She commented that when she is in trouble, her mom takes away her phone and for Kaimberlyn, she is not allowed to play. She commented that Kaimberlyn does not have anything to take. She denied marks and bruises from her parents or any adults that she is involved with. She commented that she gets them from cheerleading. She commented that she always has clean clothes to wear.
