I chose to research the career high school history teaching because I have a love for history and I want to make an impact in young lives. I have been learning about history since I could read. Reading about history has been something I’ve always loved. My father always encouraged my reading and my interest in history. He would always get me books or magazines about a specific time period that I was interested in at the time. From my research, I plan on finding out what kind of college I need to attend, what classes are needed, and will the pay be enough to encourage me to pursue this career path.

He currently teaches American History but has taught in the past civics and economics. Teaching and coaching creates a large load to handle with lecturing, grading papers, developing plans, staff development, coaching practices, attending clinics to name just a few things that are done. He has been teaching 13 years at the high school level. The reason he pursued teaching is so he could help young people and make a difference with his father and coaches being his biggest influencers. He has a BS in Social Studies, Secondary Ed, and a Masters Degree in Executive Leadership. No classes he could think of could prepare someone for a job in education. Being a teacher and a coach requires that person to be very compassionate and realize others need to come first. A plus about being a teacher is that it comes with a different set a challenges every day. A negative is the amount of paperwork that a teacher is required to complete. His fondest memories from teaching would have to be when he sees former students
In the United States, the history of Career and Technical Education evolved within four major periods. First, the Awakening period which began in 1776-1826, when the right to a free public education was expressed. During this era, educational opportunities in labor and industrial education were being demanded. The rising working class began to press for an education that were more appropriate for their labor and industry’s needs (Awakening 1776-1826, 1976). Even Benjamin Franklin who represented the Awakening middle class was on board with the rise of technical and vocational education which were taught primarily by private masters or contracted apprenticeships (Cohen, 1976).
Truck driving is a much needed career to help transport goods across the United States and other local areas. Commercial Truck Driving is the career I choose to uphold. Trucking is a way of transportation needed to keep business going. Trucking has been a part of my family for years so I fell in love with trucks now I won’t to drive my own. This career has a good background, career requirements, job positions, and a good reflection.
So with looking further into all of the different criminal justice paths I could go down and with my love for science I thought being a forensic scientist would be the perfect job. After I’m done with college, my successful will continue. Regardless my main goal is to just be happy, and never have to struggle for anything. But, when I think about my future the first thing I always think about is the car I want. Which is so odd because I should be thinking about a place to live, and a family maybe first, then a car. But no, I want my all white Cadillac CTS. Depending on what year I get enough money to purchase this perfect car, I’m going to want to the newest year. Just so I can have all the newest interior and the technology. I want to one day, have a family and a decent sized house in a big city. I haven’t really decided yet if I either want to go into the FBI or just work for the local police station wherever I decide to live.

Life goes on as well as we moving on, in order to live a happy life, money, passion, happiness and the meaning of it are essential keys. Among thousands of jobs and over billions of people, having a career or achieving a job is not only important but also competitive. Therefore, deciding what you are going to become has always been the toughest decision in life. I am not talking about Mozart, who was born to play and compose music, or Cristiano Ronaldo who decided to pursue for his career as a football player at the age of 14. I am talking about me and my just-found-out-career in a couple hours earlier, Nursing.
A career goal of mine would be to make it in the history field after completing my studies in my college year. Three assessments that correlate to my goal are the Holland Code/ Career Autobiography, Time Management, and Academic Plan. The Holland Code/ Career Autobiography showed me as being artistic, investigative, and realistic. My artistic interest mean I seek creativity in my work without rules interfering with the process. My investigative side relates the searching of information and identifying of ideas of thoughts. The realistic part seeks hand-on interaction and involvement in creations. These three helped me understand that I should seek an area of my field that allows me to be out in the field, creatively identifying and understanding the situations I may come across.
...my education at Concord University studying Elementary Education. After graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Education, I plan to get a job as a teacher in an elementary school. I believe that there is a need for compassionate and caring teachers in elementary schools. At such a young age, I believe that it is important for elementary students to have positive role models in their lives. I am very interested in pursuing my Masters Degree at some point, but my main goal is to get out into the school system as a teacher.

When planning for my future, I first had to look at what profession I wanted to go into. I have had great teachers in my life that have inspired me and due to this I have decided I too would like to teach. I am interested in teaching History and Industrial Technology. To pursue this career, I will need to go to college and graduate with a teaching degree.
Through my own experiences, and as enforced by others' opinions in the profession, I have found that teaching is one of the most rewarding careers. Not only are you placed in the position of instructing and guiding children and young adults through the life long learning process, but you are able to give back to the schools and communities which have supported your early education and experiences that opened you up to a bright future. In becoming an educator, I hope to someday share the knowledge and lend the helping, supportive hand that I was once given, allowing students to formulate their own perspectives of the multicultural society and world around them. Teaching is a career I have been interested in pursuing throughout high school, and as my experiences and study in the field expands, I feel that my desire to teach will grow stronger and develop more soundly.
The word "career" has a couple of different, but related, meanings in the context of career development. One way we define career is as an individual's vocation or trade, or how he or she makes a living. Given this meaning, it is used interchangeably with the word "occupation." Examples of careers or occupations are engineer, accountant and veterinarian. When experts talk about career choice they are usually referring to someone deciding what he or she wants to do to make a living.
My interest in history carried on to school projects where I researched the duties of the President, and how they influence the people. I was so invested in history, that one of my elementary school teachers, Mrs. Trask, claimed I should one day be the Governor of California. My curiosity also transcended into the ancient civilization studies. In the fourth grade, as a G.A.T.E. (Gifted and Talented Education) student, I had to do an extensive independent research project that would be displayed to parents and district board members.
As a child, have you ever been asked what do you want to be when you grow up? When I was little, all I ever wanted to do was open up my own dance company. I chose to study Business Administration because I love the feeling of being an in professional and sophisticated manner. I really feel as though choosing the business field was the best option I ever made for myself because I’m getting the opportunity to show many people out there how professional I can be and also the skills I have as a person.
