Business Communication at Sainsbury's and Cadburys
Communication
There are several different types of communication in a business such
as Sainsbury's and Cadburys.
INTERNAL
Telephone ? When the business is a big building or is a group of small
way which are close or far away when telling another group of colleges
something important e.g. Telling them that their supplies have
arrived. It is the main way of communicating around the business.
Telephones are appropriate when you need to talk to someone when it is
quicker to ring them rather than going all the way over to the person.
Face to face communication ? This is when two of more colleges talk to
each other face to face. This could be general slacking or telling
them useful information. It is the quickest way of communicating. But
if the receiver doesn?t write the message down they will forget the
message and it may be important to the functioning of the business.
Face to face is appropriate when you need to tell someone a message
quickly and they are next to you or if they are in the same area as
them.
Meetings ? Sometimes it is important that everyone meets face to face
to discuss business issues. Usually, an assistant writes down what was
discussed and agreed. These are called the minutes and everyone gets a
copy. One problem of a meeting is that they take time and have to be
planned in advance to make sure that everyone can be there.

A corporation was originally designed to allow for the forming of a group to get a single project done, after which it would be disbanded. At the end of the Civil War, the 14th amendment was passed in order to protect the rights of former slaves. At this point, corporate lawyers worked to define a corporation as a “person,” granting them the right to life, liberty and property. Ever since this distinction was made, corporations have become bigger and bigger, controlling many aspects of the economy and the lives of Americans. Corporations are not good for America because they outsource jobs, they lie and deceive, and they knowingly make and sell products that can harm people and animals, all in order to raise profits.
Tennessee Williams was one of the most important playwrights in the American literature. He is famous for works such as “The Glass Menagerie” (1944), “A Streetcar Named Desire” (1947) or “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1955)”. As John S. Bak claims: “Streetcar remains the most intriguing and the most frequently analyzed of Williams’ plays.” In the lines that follow I am going to analyze how the identity of Blanche DuBois, the female character of his play, “A Streetcar Named Desire”, is shaped.
Many women find that their mothers have the greatest influence on their lives and the way their strengths and weaknesses come together. In Amy Tan’s The Joy Luck Club, the lives of four Chinese mothers and their Chinese-American daughters are followed through vignettes about their upbringings and interactions. One of the mothers, An-Mei Hsu, grows up away from her mother who has become the 4th wife of a rich man; An-Mei is forced to live with her grandmother once her mother is banned from the house, but eventually reunites and goes to live in the man’s house with her mother. Her daughter, Rose, has married an American man, Ted, but their marriage begins to end as he files for divorce; Rose becomes depressed and unsure what to do, despite her mother’s advice. An-Mei has strengths and weaknesses that shape her own courageous actions, and ultimately have an influence on her daughter.
The Joy Luck Club, a novel by Amy Tan, is structured in an unusual way. It is divided into four different sections. Each section has four stories told by four different women. In the first section all the mothers, in the Joy Luck Club, talk about their childhood. In the next two sections the daughters talk about their childhood and their experiences through life. In the last section the four mothers speak about the stories of when they were younger, around their daughters' age. This novel explores countless topics. Not only does it deal with gender identity and the relationships between Chinese-American cultures, but it also deals with mother daughter relationships. Amy Tan shows us how mothers and daughters mirror each other. Every daughter in this novel hears about their mother's life and sees some comparisons to her own life. "All women are daughters and must resolve the conflicts inherent in the mother/daughter relationship if they are to understand themselves an ultimately to establish their own identity". (Internet 1)
Corporations are thought to have utmost power on shaping how the United States is ran, whether economically, environmentally, or socially. Business dictates in this country how we live, where we live, and unfortunately, if the people of this country are to face good times or bad times. If the economy falters in the United States, which is the foundation of business, then this country will also falter. With this knowledge by big business, the corporations have corporate hegemony; the ability to wield power and the mold making influence on Congress to shape laws and design loopholes for these massive corporations to jump through just in case.
Our mothers have played very valuable roles in making us who a we are and what we have become of ourselves. They have been the shoulder we can lean on when there was no one else to turn to. They have been the ones we can count on when there was no one else. They have been the ones who love of us for who we are and forgive us when no one else wouldn’t. In Amy Tan’s “Two Kinds,” the character Jing-mei experiences being raised by a mother who has overwhelming expectations for her daughter, causes Jing-mei to struggle with who she wants to be. “Only two kind of daughters,” “Those who are obedient and those who follow their own mind!”(476). When a mother pushes her daughter to hard the daughter rebels, but realizes in the end that their mothers only wanted the best for them and had their best interest at heart.
One of the main themes expressed by Tennessee Williams in his play, A Streetcar Named Desire, is to condemn those who display cruelty and harshness in their treatment of others, especially those who are weak and vulnerable. Williams had a lot of things that happened in his life when he was young. His parents never really cared about him they were selfish drunks who had no desire to care for a kid. Then, when his grandfather was assigned to parish in Clarksdale, Mississippi Williams had to spend his early childhood spent in a parsonage there. Also, as a small child Williams’ almost died from a case of diphtheria. Much of Williams writings were inspired by his depressed life and his own dysfunctional family. He showed examples of it in A Streetcar Named Desire. He uses three characters in this play that demonstrate harsh and cruel treatment of others. Three characters who demonstrate harsh and cruel treatment of others are Blanche, Mitch and Stanley.
Tennessee Williams was one of the greatest American dramatists of the 20th century. Most of his plays take us to the southern states and show a confused society. In his works he exposes the degeneration of human feelings and relationships. His heroes suffer from broken families and they do not find their place in the society. They tend to be lonely and afraid of much that surrounds them. Among the major themes of his plays are racism, sexism, homophobia and realistic settings filled with loneliness and pain.1 Tennessee Williams characters showed us extremes of human brutality and sexual behavior.2 One of his most popular dramas was written in 1947, and it is called A Streetcar Named Desire.
When Corporations Rule the World by David C. Korten discusses the rise of corporate power in America. “Increasing corporate power result in an enormous transfer of power, wealth, and resources from the public to the private sector.” There is a huge connection between the government and large corporations who work together in order to make a profit. “It is the corporate interest rather than the human interest that defines the policy agendas of states
...standing an author’s work, for some, can be decided by whether or not they understand anything that the author has live through. Tennessee Williams is one author that uses his life directly in his writings and understanding his life can make the difference in how the reader understands the work. “A Streetcar Named Desire,” deals with many of the issues Williams faced throughout his life. His unhappily married parents, the addictions faced by himself and his family, and the unstable mental status he and his sister faced were all show in this play. Each reader must decide for themselves on what makes a writer special. For most writers their own life experiences are what inspire them and gives them the ability to make a work extraordinary. Sometimes a hard life is what can make an author become a part of history instead of just an image trapped within their own mind.
Macropoland, a natural gas and oil importer, has a natural rate of unemployment of about 4.5% and a long run average rate of inflation of about 2%. However, there are two specific time periods where these rates fell below their potential. During the period between 1973-1974, the country had an inflation rate of about 15%, with an unemployment rate of nearly 13%. And now, they are experiencing an unemployment rate of 9% and an inflation rate of 0.4%. As their new economic advisor, it is my job to explain these two time periods.
The complexitities of any mother-daughter relationship go much deeper then just their physical features that resemble one another. In Amy Tan’s novel The Joy Luck Club, the stories of eight Chinese women are told. Together this group of women forms four sets of mother and daughter pairs. The trials and triumphs, similarities and differences, of each relationship with their daughter are described, exposing the inner makings of four perfectly matched pairs. Three generations of the Hsu family illustrate how both characteristics and values get passed on through generations, even with the obstacles of different cultures and language.
Alexandre Dumas was born on July 24, 1802, to Thomas Alexandre Dumas and Marie-Louise Labouret. He was born in the town of Villers-Cotterets, France during his father’s retirement from the European Army. A few years after Alexandre’s birth, his father died, which left his mother to care for him and send him to school on her own. Due to his mother’s lack of funds, Dumas dropped out of school to take a writing job. This was the beginning of his literary career
...the government owning the corporations completely. Traditionally democracies have a great sense of nationality and often reflect to the past days for a sense of “glory”. For instance the U.S. is a very nationalistic state as a vast majority of the country supports its troops occupying countries abroad. Also, not many countries in the world have citizens who proudly hang their countries flag outside their door. Though national pride for one's country shouldn’t be compared to the Nazi regime it is still an interesting look at modern nationalism.
Another important part of management is conflict which can occur on many levels when dealing with other cultures especially if there have been frequent mergers, acquisitions, or unfriendly takeovers. Tensions can run high and managers must be aware of potential for workplace violence and have a plan for intervention efforts such and training for conflict resolution. Intrapersonal and interpersonal business communication skills will also be necessary when dealing with the potential difficulties associated with conflict and misunderstood relationships. Intrapersonal communication is, communication with one ' self. For example when we sometimes think in our mind what to say and how to say before speaking. Whereas Interpersonal communication is
