Could you have lived without anyone in your life in 1930's? In the story, Bud Not Buddy, Bud has no mother. He does not have a father either. He had many different adventures while he was trying to find who he thought was his father but ended up being his grandfather. The story, Bud Not Buddy, would have been different if Bub was not in foster care because he would have had a family to take care of him, he would have known that it was dangerous to go out on his own, and Bud would have known that Hermon E. Calloway was his grandfather and not his Father.

First of all, the story Bud Not Buddy would have someone to take care of him. In chapter 1, Bud tells us that his mother died when he was only 6 years old. He would have had a family, and he would have not been on the lamb to finding Hermon if his mother had not died, and he wouldn't have been in foster care in the first place. If his mother had not of past, she would have been able to take care of him. Then, he would not have to depend on the homes. To conclude, Bud Not Buddy would have been different if he would have not gone to foster care because he would have had a family.

In chapter 3, It says that bud punched Toddy the kid of the foster parents and they put him in the shed. Bud punched Toddy because Toddy stuck a Ticonderoga Pencil up HI's nose. The Amoses believed Toddy when he said that bud started the fight, and therefore they locked Bud up in the shed.
