Introduction

Bullying and Violence is a major deal in society around the world today. Bullying happens where you least expect it and when you least expect it. Bullying takes effects on thousands of peoples’ lives everyday. The longer it takes to stop the bullying and violence around us, the more people will get bullied and hurt. So take a stand with me today to end the bullying and violence around us.

Background

I chose the topic of Bullying and Violence because I want to raise the awareness of amount of kids that are getting bullied, hurt, and committing suicide everyday because of it. The importance of trying to stop bullying is a major deal that needs to be taken seriously.

The Documentary “ The Bully “ was was filmed in 2011 by Lee Hirsch at East Middle School in Sioux. “ The Bully “ aims to show what teenage bullying looks like in contemporary America. Alex Libby of 12 years at the time the documentary was being filmed. Alex suffers from Asperger ( a neurobiological disorder on the higher-functioning end of the autism spectrum ) and was mired with a two year depression. …show more content…

With being documented Alex had gotten filmed being bullied at the bus stop, inside the bus, at school, during lunch, etc. Being stabbed with pencils, punched in the face, spit on, sat on, including bashing his head into the bus seats, and worst of all the other students were threatening to kill him. Eventually those kids had gotten their way, a little later Alex had moved schools across town where things had improved for him such as making new friends and raising his once failing grades to A’s &’
