In the article titled "Marriage and Divorce: Changes and their Driving forces" the authors Stevenson, Betsey; and Wolfers, Justin discuss facts that have been documented for 150 years about marriage and divorce. In this article we see that divorce rates have gone up tremendously. As for population divorce rates have risen, marriage rates have falling. Also we find that there are more remarriages after everything is said and done. The important factors that have come with the individuals marriage have changed as well.

Our elderly people are living longer and the life expectancy's are increasing. This article shows that 12 percent of our elderly are 65 years of age or older and the rest are below that age. The author points out that our elderly have put in their work to earn their social security but the working age population is shrinking. The author discusses how our society is facing a decline in work to help pay for social security.
