Becoming an Athletic Trainer What’s the worst injury you saw? Would you ever want to fix the worst injury and become famous? These are some questions to think about. When I was younger I saw a lot of bad things happen because I went to so many sporting events. This is when I realized I can actually help these people so they can get back on the court or field. I believe that college is important in order to follow my dreams and hope on becoming an athletic trainer. To become an athletic trainer , there are certain job tasks, special skills and talents as well as a higher education that is needed. The certain job tasks you would need to become an athletic trainer is to be able to keep records or be able to write reports. Another job task that you would need would be to determine if they need to see a physician's or to report progress of recovering athletes to their coaches. First, high school classes are a must some of the English/ Language Arts classes you might need are English/ Language Arts I, II, III, and IV. The math classes I would want to take in high school would be Algebra I and II, Geometry, and Precalculus. Science is a big thing when you are becoming an athletic trainer and the classes they recommend you take are biology, chemistry, and physics. In high school some schools require you to take History classes all four years of high but some schools don’t, but no matter if that school requires it or not to become an athletic trainer you need to take U.S. History, World History, and State History. There are a few more classes you need to take even though they are required at most schools suches as Health Science I, II, III, and IV and a Technology class.
