Most colleges only allow you to apply if you have a certain amount of community service hours. Community service can be as hard as an rock or as soft as a teddy bear. Community service hours is where you go and help out at places without being ordered. Beta is kinda like that also because you have to get community service hours in Beta. That is why you have to get community service hours. If you get big enough in athletic training, then maybe you will work with a famous sports player. My dream is to work for an amazing sports team. The team that I want to work for being the, New England Patriots. The athletic trainers are just as important as the players because they have to keep the players in shape. The New England Patriots are one of the best NFL teams to ever play. In conclusion, I want to be an athletic trainer when I get older. The school that I go to has a partnership with my local football team, Ridgeview Wolfpack. I have to visit their company for a day, that way, I can obtain a better understanding of the career I have chosen. It is possible that I can get big in that career that I have chosen, Then I may go and help out with a famous sports team. This is the career that I am hoping that I get when I get out of school. Ever since I have been playing sports I thought it would be amazing to work with Pro players. I would be working with the players that everybody dreams
For this project, the certified athletic trainer who I have shadowed for almost eight hours in just one day is Candace O'Bryan, currently the athletic trainer at Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron. Candace has worked at Hoban now entering her third year at the high school. She works alone as a trainer there but works along side one team doctor who is at every game, and the other one being a neurosurgeon but is just a parent helping out.
One of my future careers are being a NFL player (professional football player) I want to be this because it’s fun and you can hit and tackle people the responsibilities are show respect for team policies and understand your role. If you want to have a good work environment then you have to be on a good team or you have to be really good so you can buy a better work environment. If you want to play football you have to go to college for two or three years or maybe more. The average
The job outlook for the physical education teacher job market is expected to grow by 12.2% between 2012 and 2022. This increase is pretty close to the rate the athletic director field is supposed to increase. The training and skills necessary to enter the field are a Bachelor’s degree which is common in most states but some states require a master’s degree. The skills that would be needed is instructing, speaking, active listening and learning, critical thinking, and monitoring and assessing
Dreams come and go every night, but some dreams tend to stay for a lifetime. I have always dreamt to become a professional athlete in some way or another. Growing up I have always looked up to many different athletes. Whether it was Ladanian Tomlinson on the football field or Kobe Bryant on the basketball court I have always had some athlete that I wanted to be like someday.
Athletic training career is one of the careers in healthcare that requires hard work, dedication, and patience. It is competitive and because of that, it requires extensive schooling. Most jobs in athletic training field requires a bachelor degree from an accredited program but having a masters degree or a doctorate degree from an accredited program increases one’s chance of getting a better job or qualifying for an affluent position in one’s company. One has to pass the rigorous board exam as well in order to be a certified athletic trainer. Athletic trainer’s job setting varies. Some athletic trainers work in the hospitals, some in colleges and universities, some work in occupational industries, and some work in professional sports. Employment, pay, and benefits is based on one’s experience and qualifications.
Being and athletic trainer is a great and hardworking career. That involves meeting new people, dealing with different challenge each day, Also it has moderate schooling. Meeting new people is one of the many ways being an athletic trainer is very rewarding. One of the many examples is assisting and caring others. Why is because no one is going to come to athletic trainer if they are not going to assisted them or care for them.
Both on an off the field, my enthusiasm and motivation to obtain a goal is a trait that I am very proud of. I have faced many tasks where a leader had needed to step up and I am always willing to do so. I am also willing to get help when I need it. If I can’t complete a task by myself I do not mind asking a classmate, teammate, friend or a teacher for guidance. By bringing that openness and leadership to University of Charleston’s Athletic Training Program I believe that I can also attribute to the University of Charleston’s Mission Statement “to educate each student for a life of productive work, enlightened living, and community involvement.” By bettering the Athletic Training community by providing care to our Athletes I believe that I will be a great addition to the Athletic Training
Working at a school would not have been a top choice but as an athletic director it seems fun and enjoyable. An athletic director oversees all school sports and makes sure that everyone follows the rules and does not disobey the coaches (Bean-Mellinger, Barbara). They also have to attend all games and matches that are scheduled (Hinginbotham, Heather). As well as attending all the games they have to hire the officials that are needed for the games (Higinbotham, Heather). Athletic directors also might have to fire coaches and other athletic department employees if needed (Bean-Mellinger, Barbara). They also have to set or approve job descriptions for each position (Bean-Mellinger, Barbara). Every athletic director job is different depending on the size of school; their daily routine might be different from others. In smaller schools the athletic director might have to teach classes as well as do their own job. But as for larger school they will only be an athletic director. In some jobs they are physical education teachers as well as an athletic director (Baccadutre).
are also many openings for trainers in the high school level. The down side to
Many people are more active today than they were many years ago. Injury prevention and diagnosis plays a big role in today’s society. Preventing an injury is important for many athletes all over the world, and for people that are physically active. Preventing injuries can benefit an athlete in the long run. Athletic trainers help athletes and physically active people stay healthy for what they do on a daily basis.
Sports are a popular pastime among all ages and types of people. People not only participate in them for fun, but also for money, physical fitness, rush of competition, and for many other personal reasons. Playing sports is especially common among young people in schools. Athletics are great and enjoyable for many reasons, but there can be a point where sports participation can go too far and become negative for children and adults. Sports specialization for young people is an increasing trend that results in sports having a negative impact on individuals and society.
Over the course of my life, I have had many different career goals which included becoming a teacher, a crime scene investigator or an athletic trainer. However, the one thing that I wanted to do more than anything else was to become the first woman to play Major League Baseball for the Cleveland Indians. As I got older, I realized that the opportunity for a woman to play Major League Baseball was very uncommon. I began thinking of other ways that I could still be involved with baseball as part of my future career. I finally decided that I wanted to be a Physical Therapist for the Cleveland Indians organization, after attending one of their baseball games and watching my favorite player tear his rotator cuff during an important
...apist, I would like to continue working with athletes and non-athletes to help prevent injury.
The profession I plan to pursue after graduation is Physical Therapy. Physical Therapist are clinicians who work in a variety of healthcare settings such as hospitals, orthopedic institutes, and nursing homes to name a few. These highly skill professionals diagnose and treat folks who have medical problems, athletic injuries, or other deteriorating health conditions involving their musculoskeletal system. Patients are sent to physical therapists in order to get "hands on" on care for their conditions. In order to maintain a healthier lifestyle, physical therapists exercise prevention techniques with their patients. These techniques could include developing fitness exercises and wellness programs that can be consistently followed by their patients. As I grew older, I developed an attraction towards sports medicine/rehabilitation which could be exemplified by my profession of choice. Physical Therapists are able to combine health with athletes involved in sports, a niche I could definitely see myself in the future.
My dream job in the future would be professional football player. I have loved the game of football since I was a little kid because it’s a good sport and you can tackle the player and catch and do anything in the sport as long as you follow the rules. The colleges that I’m looking forward to go to are UNC, Oregon, or Appalachian State.
