Throughout their career, the Beach Boys emerged as the most popular surf band. The band includes the three Wilson brothers, Brian, Carl, and Dennis, and their cousin Mike Love, along with their friend Al Jardine. With Mike as lead vocals, Bria on bass, Dennis on drums, Carl on lead guitar, and Al on rhythm guitar, they were the only band to challenge the Beatles’ success for a small time. Unfortunately, Brian’s drug use and obsession with beating the Beatles eventually led to a nervous breakdown and he was no longer a consistent participant. In the mid 1962’s, The Beach Boys released “Surfin’ Safari,” which hit the top 20 charts and helped popularize the “surf rock craze.” “Surfin’ USA,” which was similarly themed, was released in 1963 and hit the top ten charts. On the album, were 15 songs, including Brian Wilson’s “Surfin’ USA.” Brian Wilson arranged this LP record, and two of the songs he wrote include “Farmer’s Daughter,” and “The Noble Surfer.” This album was the best they made until the late sixties and was one of the few chart topping records, before the British Invasion, produced by an American rock band. At least eight songs on this album were played during a movie in between the years 1964 and 2005. Between these same years, at least 70 of The Beach Boys songs from any album were played in a movie or TV show, including “Good Vibrations” in The Mighty Ducks in the year 1992 and “Surfin USA” in My Blue Heaven during the year 1990. This song is really good because of the creative lyrics. This song is naming 15 surf locations for you to go to, and it's really cool how the band did that. Also, the song is very upbeat and as exciting as surfing for the first time. It makes you want to jump out of your seat and go to the beach. As a surfer, I like listening to this song because it's about the beach and it's catchy. A lot of people would enjoy this song and many others by The Beach
