The Beatles are widely considered to be the greatest, most successful band in history and are still listened to by many people all around the world today. They were a rock band from Liverpool, London during the British Invasion, a time period from 1963-1970 where British rock bands came to America. The Beatles did not come from a wealthy upbringing or a great education but made up for it through their incredible talent and passion for playing music. They began playing as a local band in 1960 before they were discovered by their future manager Brian Epstein and brought to America. Once they settled in America, people around the world were inspired by their incredible new style of playing music and the way they drastically changed rock and roll at the time.
The Beatles were the leaders of a musical trend called The British Invasion. The British Invasion was a time period in the 1960’s when British rockers came to America to further their commercial success. There were two separate waves of the British invasion. The first wave began in 1963 and ended in 1967. The second wave was from 1967-1970. During both waves of the British Invasion, there were many bands that came to America. In the first wave, the most popular bands at the time were the Beatles, the Kinks, the Rolling Stones, and the Animals. The later wave included Led Zeppelin, Cream, the Who, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd. In the end, there were over 60 bands from Great Britain that came to America...

...st called Our World. Moving to electric instruments really made their music sound great and the people loved the new technique of playing. The Beatles played a big role in the music industry in the Sixties and their music has still has impacted the music industry today (recording, live playing, clothing…etc.). They introduced America and the rest of the world to an entirely new style of playing music. They also changed the way people listened to, enjoyed and recorded music. They also inspired many British bands to come to America, leading to the British Invasion, and influenced some American bands as well, like the Beach Boys and the Monkees. They also began the trend of recording music in the studio instead of playing live concerts. On top of all that they had incredible sounding new music. Music today would never have been the same without the Beatles.
