As long as there have been humans living on planet earth, there have been wars fought. Some wars fought were senseless ego trips, and others were a difference in ideology. However, what all wars have in common is, violence, and due to that, there are incredible amounts of death. Sometimes the killing is to a nation or culture that stands up to obliterate another. But other times, the killing is to a people that had done no wrong besides for calling themselves a nation. However, no matter how the slaying is done, by conventional violence or nuclear warfare, or who did it, be it a madman or a sane person, all wars are horrible confrontations that should be avoided at all costs. In World War One, Kaiser Wilhelm II, the monarch of the German Empire, was soundly defeated by the allied forces. The world blamed the war on the German Empire since its army had marched into Belgium, which was considered an act of war by Belgian allies, thus sparking mayhem in Europe. Germany was forced to pay heavy war reparations as agreed in the Treaty of Versailles. The reparations crushed Germany’s economy and sending the country’s morale into a downward spiral. The Nazi party, led by Adolf hitler, blamed Germany’s desperate state on the Treaty of Versailles, the men who signed it, and people who Hitler considered the dregs of society. In an effort to hoist the economy out of despair, Hitler violated the Treaty and began to mass produce weapons. The weapons were then used to march into neighboring countries and “convince” them to turn over their economy and government to the German War Machine. These acts turned Germany a rich, powerful threatening force. At first, these actions were ignored by the allied members of the treaty since they were fearful of another world war.
