Physical Discipline is Effective Argumentative Essay Children’s behavior in this decade is out of control! Parents don’t know the proper way to make discipline effective; however, there is a way in the physical form know as spanking, Spanking is necessary for children to learn to respect authority and their peers. Also, spanking contributes in better character development. Not only that, “The Bible” tells its readers spanking is essential to raise a well-behaved child and will not kill them. Physical discipline is the superior way to discipline out of control adolescents. When children need to learn the correct way to treat authority or their peers, spanking is necessary. For example, Chaya Chhoerm of San Francisco went to trial for “abusing” his daughter because she was caught stealing from her teacher multiple times. He admitted he spanked his daughter with a belt leaving bruises on her right side. However, he claimed he never meant to injure his daughter. Erin Sherbert, the author, wrote,” However, during the two-day trial, the girl’s principal took the stand, describing Chhoerm as an ‘attentive and involved’ parent, who cares about his daughter’s education” (“Spanking Children”). The students often developed self-motivation, strong character, high mortality, and consideration for others. In another study conducted by Tennant, the results show that childhood antecedents that were associated with the use of non-illegal drugs were being spanked as a child, attending church, and having “happy” parental marriage. Both studies show that the spanking of young adolescents contribute to the development of better character than those who don't get
