How Self Medication Can Become A Threat To Your Life? Got a headache? Will pop a painkiller. Fever as well? An antipyretic will do. Throat ache? Goodness, I need an antibiotic. How repeatedly have you heard people doing this? If your answer is often, they might have already developed a habit of self-medication—like a ton of other educated people who feel it is fine to pop a pill without a doctor’s prescription. Many of you may not know, but these well-meant medications are not without side effects and can mess with your system if taken without doctor’s prescription. Normally, our immune system includes special cells and chemical that can fight bacterial infection and stop them from multiplying enough to cause an infection.
