Former Governor of Maryland, Mayor of Baltimore, and City Councilor Martin O’Malley has an excellent vision for America. Despite him not being as well known as the other presidential candidates, his views take on issues that not many candidates address. O’Malley tackles issues beyond economic and immigration reforms. He wishes to make our country a better, more efficient America. O’Malley let minimum wage, be just that, the minimum amount of income that a person can make but can also live a comfortable life with. He wants to raise the minimum wage to fifteen dollars an hour and help our hardworking parents and students support themselves or their families. Attempting to work overtime at hard jobs that require tough labor to make ends meet, still isn’t enough to maintain a family or home. Other candidates wish to “build a wall” and completely shut out poor, uneducated immigrants that only wish to enter the U.S. O’Malley wants us to accept and help undocumented immigrants because of the compassionate people that Americans are. He wants America to guide them to the chance of living the American Dream. He believes that since our nation was built on immigrant ancestors that moved to America for a better chance at success, we should help the immigrants that enter our country and show them that we are not hateful and that we welcome them with open arms.
