As a result of the adolescent brain undergoing cognitive development, this allows for life experience to leave long-term impressions on the brain (Lewis, 2016). Trauma and violence change the way the brain functions for the rest of its lifespan (Lewis, 2016). Fifty-four percent of children that are sentenced to life without parole have experienced violence and abuse before the offense (Rovner, 2017). In the face of scientific evidence proving children are developmentally different than adults, the justice system manages their discipline synonymously. Children make mistakes, and children change as they grow; most of all children need support. The current functioning of the juvenile justice system does not promote the rehabilitation and treatment of children (Vidal et al., 2017). The current social values conflict with the values of the social work profession. Social justice, dignity and worth of the person, and service are three of the social work core values (NASW, 2017). The entrance fee would be to give as much as you can - and accept donations. However, to play the games tickets and money will be required. The event will provide speakers such as local activist, storytellers and allow families to speak on behalf of their experiences with the juvenile justice system. Social Media and consistent outreach to individuals and agencies that would like to participate. The event itself for staff, permits, entertainment would need to set a budget of $10,000. The company plans to fund this event through sponsorship, grants and the community development fund of the agencies. However, the development could establish notoriety for the cause, receive support from representatives and encourage communities across the United States to become involved and advocate. The overall funds needed for the plan will be $26,000 leaving room for unforeseen financial
