At least one vehicle is mandatory for a family in the United States. Having a personal vehicle saves lot of time and gives an opportunity to travel. In Kentucky, a person must have insurance to drive their vehicle. If a person is found driving without current vehicle insurance, they will be fined up to $1,000, up to 90 days jail time, or suspension of their license plate, and will be placed on “high-risk” category of drivers by their insurance company (car). It is also reasonable that young people will not be able to afford their car insurance coverage and will be driving around without insurance coverage if the insurance company keep increasing their insurance premium for teenagers after each accident. It is because young people are also human beings and people who have been in an accident are also living beings, so they will drive around without insurance coverage for survival because cars are legs that take people from one place to another. It is not reasonable for young people to pay as low as $3,000 per year for liability coverage and as high as $8,000 per year for full coverage, this is insane amount of money to spend on car insurance. The amount of money that young adults pay for car insurance in a single year is more than what they get from FAFSA (Federal Grants) each year to pay for their college. Most teenagers don’t even make $6,000 per year since they have go to school full time. How will these young adults be able to pay their high car insurance premium if they got in an accident? Insurance companies are punishing young adults with high insurance premium as if those young drivers committed a crime of being able to drive, so that they would go to school to gain knowledge, go to work/earn money, and sustain themselves. Education defines a person’s future and without money, it’s not possible. Money is big part of people’s life, almost everything costs money. When we look at the classic Car image, it reminds us of the experiences that surround our daily lives. The Classic Car image is in black and white which reminds us of the picture realities that held sway some decades ago. I do not readily understand all that transpired in the wreck of this car. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act passed by President Barack Obama is a significant change of the American healthcare system since insurance plans programs like Medicare and Medicaid (“Introduction to”). As a result, “It is also one of the most hotly contested, publicly maligned, and politically divisive pieces of legislation the country has ever seen” (“Introduction to”). The Affordable Care Act should be changed because it grants the government too much control over the citizen’s healthcare or the lack of individual freedom to choose affordable health insurance.

Driving at the age of sixteen is perfectly okay with people who does not seem to care because he or she feels as if someone gets into a car they are automatically going to put all attention into driving the vehicle which is not true nowadays because teenage drivers feel the need to be on a cell phone or trying to control the radio and trying to get dressed or put on make up when he or she should only be focused on operating the car. Car crashes are the leading cause of severe injury and death among teenagers. "In 2010, seven teens aged 16-19 died everyday from motor vehicle injuries." (Injury Prevention and Control: Motor Vehicle Safety) The reason these accidents are happening is because too many teens are getting behind the wheel without enough experience or common sense. Many studies have shown that teens are more likely to be distracted, experiment with drugs and alcohol, and take more risks in general with their vehicles. Many states have tried to negate these risks buy increasing the amount of experience a teen driver must need but the statistics show that may not be enough. There are many ways we can decrease the amount of accidents and deaths to our teen drivers, one of which is increasing the age to get a driver's license.
