Domnick Knowlton Don’t Drink and Drive CE Comp II Why jeopardize yourself and others? That is the most redundant thing you can ever do when driving. Why pay hundreds to thousands of dollars to fix your car because you believe you it’s okay to drink behind the wheel? Is it that arduous to find a designated driver if you think you have to have a drink? Well, maybe you shouldn’t be drinking and driving, legal or not illegal. Yes, I said it underage drinking appear more frequently than you think. But, what if you’re not the one who is driving? Those people can be an immense potential hazard to you if you’re not vigilante. Well to your dismay 1/2 of people behind the wheel have some type of alcohol or narcotics in their system. But, how does alcohol affect them? First, I should say alcohol is a drug. As a more specific drug type it is a depressant. Which means it slows down the central nervous system. That can instantaneously impair your vision, reduce reaction times, decreased concentration, fatigue, and even cause drowsiness. (Insert Citation? REMOVE ONCE DONE)!!!! With a little unscientific based math we do a simple but reasonable arithmetic. So we have two drivers one is impaired and we’ll make the other driver an average driver. My uncle was just a casual drinker typically he wouldn’t drink and drive and I wasn’t informed on why he was subjecting to it. What he has told me when I asked him is that in order to pay for his kids necessities he needed to maintain attendance at work. So the state told arranged a date and told him to hire his own lawyer. The lawyer managed to persuade the judge since he had family to attend to, to give him a special license that will obligate him to buy a breathalyzer. So he did, and the breathalyzer had cost him $1,200 and unfortunately was more due to installation. He is now enforced to breath at random times while driving and before you starts driving. If there is any BAC the car will slowly lock up and prohibit him from driving and his license will be permanently revoked and he will go to jail. But, he has pledged he won’t ever drink again due to this incident. I haven’t seen a single beer in his hand and he hasn’t sure come to his friends pressuring him. This is a credible source due to his experience prior to the incident. “Ah, it’s just one beer it won’t hurt” maybe some people are actually relaxed when they drive. Again, this is false, as soon you consume alcohol it automatically enters your bloodstream and impairs you instantly. Then another argument can be, “Ah, I’ll just drink some coffee, or take a cold shower, then I’ll be sober”. That is really false all those will do it spike your reaction time
