Actors and professional athletes are paid too much Due to public misconceptions about acting or sport it is not uncommon for actors and professional athletes to be subjected to criticism for their earnings. However such criticisms are often made when comparing the earnings of an actor or professional athlete to the earnings of an average citizen, which is unfair and thus this essay will state the side that actors and professional athletes are not paid too much. Nearly all those who state that actors and professional athletes are paid too much often seem to believe that acting or being an athlete does not require much knowledge or skill. Many people believe that the jobs of actors and professional athletes are easy and can be done by the ordinary citizen not knowing what it takes to achieve a high status in acting or sport. People pay to see them perform and people constantly want better, which is stressful for actors and athletes alike.
