The Myers-Briggs profile has four sections with two different types you can receive in each section. The first section is based on how you interact with your surroundings. The two different types you might get selected as is either an extrovert or an introvert. Extroverts enjoy being social and get excited about group activities. As an introvert, I am very content when I am alone. I rather sit in my room and read a book rather than go out with a group of friends. Although I enjoy socializing, I find that it can exhaust me and I feel more energized alone. When it comes to how I look at the world I slightly leans more towards sensing than being intuitive. I don’t like thinking about the deeper meanings to why things are the way they are. I rarely ever question things. My motto is everything happens the way they are supposed to happen. It’s a waste of time, in my opinion, to try and think about what could happen. I have found that it gives me anxiety to think like that. I have no doubt that I am a feeler instead of a thinker. I live life with my heart on my sleeve. I am very sensitive and most of my choices are made based on my emotions. I like making everyone happy. If I see that someone is upset I want to fix whatever the problem is. Perceiving is a much better way of putting it than saying I’m irresponsible like most people see it as when you are unorganized and just go with the flow. Most of these are very accurate to what I’ve already looked into. When I was a youngster I always thought it would be so cool to be an interior designer. I love decorating and being creative. I also love making people happy which most interior designer’s help people create something that they are imagining. As for the childcare profession that is actually what I am trying to pursue now. My first job was a sitter and I absolutely love kids and helping them. I am currently in school for elementary education. The customer service specialist is similar to what my current job is. I am a service representative at a health and wellness center and I enjoy it a lot. The only one that I am not interested in is nursing. I have thought about it before, but I just know I wouldn’t enjoy it. The long shifts, making big decisions, and the being around a bunch of blood freaks me out. The Myers and Briggs Analysis is a series of questions that when answered are examined and grouped together in order to determine the personalities of those taking this test. This particular test can result in sixteen different outcomes or types of personalities, which is determined by four different categories that judge if you are introverted or extroverted, use your senses or your intuition, your choice to think or use your feelings, and finally if you are judgmental or perceptive. These series of questions are designed to judge our personalities and help us to determine which career pathways we will be most suited for based on our personality traits and abilities to work well with others, which is important for our future decisions.

Having completed the Myers-Briggs Personality Test previously, I was identified as an INTP, which stands for introverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving. Accordingly, this personality is often labeled as “The Architect” or “The Logician.” Despite my previous results, I repeated the test as instructed in the assignment. Consequently, based on the outcome of the test, my personality has altered in the past year. After taking the MBTI Assessment I do not agree with the results. My results showed that I had marginal or no preference of extraversion over introversion. Also, that I have moderate preference of intuition over sensing, moderate preference of feeling over thinking. And moderate preference of judging over perceiving. I did not understand the results regarding extraversion and introversion.
The Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test certainly brought to light many unseen aspects towards my personal character traits and leadership style at work and at home (2015). Whether I am interacting with members from my personal or professional life, my INTJ personality type dominates my perception for good or ill. Strengths and weaknesses abound in any of the sixteen personalities designated by the Jung/Myers-Briggs Personality Test. I dislike being stressed out, and I don’t like to have to choose. No one likes to be forced into something, and I don’t like to be forced into decisions. I have always been known to be dependent and to be very indecisive, both of which come hand in hand. I recognize the importance of being able to take yourself, but not everyone is the same and I’m just a little less independent than others. I like being around people and I sometimes prefer to be told what to do, it’s easier. I wouldn’t support a decision I didn’t approve of, but I surround myself with those I trust.
Rather than falling behind or losing materials that you’re organize and tend to keep things where you can find them easily. Introverted being shy or nervous with talking in front of the class where you tend to keep away from doing something in front of a class full of students or even working in groups. Introverts sometimes prefer to work alone and spend time by themselves rather than hanging out at parties, or social event that may make them uncomfortable or feel out of place. They also tend to have fewer friends because of socializing tends not to be a big part of the personality. Along with being mot calm/relaxed being able to keep calm about things and try to become stressed over things as easily.
Earth is populated by billions of people – one person different from the next. While physical traits like fingerprints and DNA give people their individual identity, there is more to identity than physical traits. The experience of tragedy and joy also plays a critical role in giving people their individual identity. Personality is the other factor that separates one person from others, and the personality of an individual depends heavily on his or her beliefs, culture, and the environment in which he or she is raised. There are several different types of personality tests that one can take to identify certain traits of his or her identity, and one of them is the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). According to MBTI and my life experience, as an ISTP I possess an inquisitive mind, an adventuresome spirit, and a desire to be active.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) has recognized my profile as Introvert, Intuitive, Thinking and Judgment (INTJ). As an introvert, I can get nervous among other people. It does not pose a problem for an individual. On the other hand, in order to be an effective leader, it is important for me to keep a profound communicational relationship with my subordinates. Without proper communication skills, it is not possible to establish a functional relationship with my subordinates. This may jeopardize the success of any activity that we are involved in. The introvert part is perhaps the major barrier which may keep me away from being an effective leader.
The bases of this paper will be based on the results that I had obtained when I took the Myers-Briggs personality test. The results that I had obtained was that I was determined to be an ENFJ. I will go into depth about letter and how each represents that a specific aspect of my personality. The results that I had received were not what I had expected, but the more I read about the trait the more I realized how it suited me. I will also talk about the information that I had found useful from the book, Type Talk at Work: How the 16 Personalities Types Determine Your Success on the Job by Otto Kroeger, which gave me insight on how to interact with other personality types especially in the work environment. The information that I absorbed from the personality test and from the book will go into use in my personal and work life so that both environments will be cohesive and peaceful.

Throughout the beginning of this semester I have looked at how individuals behave within business organizations. Through various exercises and results, I have found a number of patterns within my behavior and interests. I have become aware what interests me, and a number of skills/abilities I was oblivious I had. This reflection and in class exercises has allowed me to expand my skills, abilities, and behaviors, well fitting them into prospective future employment.
