Lesson Description
The class started with “Traffic Light” as warming up exercise, followed by “Bomb and Shield”, “Catch the moment” and “Stage direction”, and ended with the presentations on William Shakespeare’s Life Brief Candle. The activities that impressed me the most are:
1. Bomb and Shield: In this activity, we assigned someone in our group as “bomb(s)” and “shield” without telling the persons. When the game started, we would have to avoid the “bomb(s)” and stick to the “shield”.
2. Catch the moment: It was a free-style activity that we walked around doing all kinds of actions. When Ms. Pat whistled, we would have to stop in the midst of our actions. The activity then carried out in pairs, …show more content…

Also, I have learnt to relax to balance when I were to do a live statue. I realized that I am not open enough to express my actions as adventurous as others’. In “stage direction”, I have learnt the right directions for an actor on stage. I also learnt the different kinds of pattern to go off-stage. Also, I would need to improve my English …show more content…

Somehow, maybe due to my previous experience, I was comfortable in expressing emotions but not actions. Action is a really a weakness to me. Hence, I think I would really need to work on it. For my weakness in eye-contact, I think it might be caused by my experience too because my primary school teachers used to teach me to look at somewhere else other than the audience to prevent nervousness. However, this doesn’t work in acting. I agree with Ms. Pat point of view, a performance would be better if the performer looks directly into the audience eyes. Next, I specifically like the “Catch the Moment” activity in this class as it gave me a different kinds of experience. Although it was tiring, I like when a story was formed subconsciously through the actions. Thank you Ms. Pat for her comment. Thank you the class for the fun in this class. Thank you for everything. Thank you, thank you and thank
