Zombies are approaching from all sides, the sound of a chainsaw buzzes. My pom pom toting, zombie slaying cheerleader character Juliette Starling is surrounded. The only thing left to do is start with a pom pom bash to dizzy the zombies and then finish with a nice chainsaw combo. I cut a zombie right down the middle. Just in time to turn around and find myself surrounded once again. I jump over the next crowd of zombies. Flipping over the undead, I stun the three standing in front of me. My star meter has just filled up. I get to go sparkle hunting! My sudden super powered chainsaw takes out three zombies effortlessly. Before they are able to turn me into brainless mush of course. Lollipop Chainsaw has sparkle hunting, rainbows everywhere and cutesy songs. I love it. I get a dose of cutesy mixed with the best of hack and slash. Lollipop Chainsaw exceeded my expectations in many ways. It not only made it to my favorites list, but it made it to my number one. I initially laughed when I saw Lollipop Chainsaw. It had cheesy music, and over the top sexualized nature that did not appeal to me. It was a gift from my boyfriend. He remembered me mentioning it and bought it. So I thought I would give it a chance. I am so happy that I gave it a chance. The graphics of this game were really good for me. I loved the bright colors, and the soundtrack was perfect. I like how you can make your own playlist. The music went well with the content. The humor was probably my favorite part. I mean who doesn’t know a cheerleader who hunts zombies, and carries around their decapitated boyfriend on their hip? It is a game that you do not have to take seriously and it never takes itself seriously. There is plenty of interaction with Juliette’s body-less boyfriend Nick. The ever so witty banter…well not so much witty from Juliette. Nick actually has some of the best lines. He lost his body, but not his sense of humor.
