“When the doorbell rings at three in the morning, it's never good news (Horowitz 1). That is the first line in my book Alex Rider Stormbreaker. My book starts off intense right away with the ringing of the doorbell. Alex is a Britain teenager who is woken up to his doorbell ringing. He gets up from his bed to find out that it is a cop asking if this is the house of Ian Rider. Alex then finds out that his uncle has died in a car crash but he has no details. Alex then is determined to find out exactly what had happened because it all just does not add up. Alex goes down to the bank where his uncle had been working and Alex went to go talk to Ian’s co workers and they all seemed like they had something to hide. Alex then gets led to a junkyard where he finds Ian’s car with a bunch of bullet holes in the windshield. Alex then finds out that Ian had been working for a top secret agency for Britain called M16. All along Ian has been trying to get to the bottom of Herod Sayle a technology genius who is giving the computers that contain bombs to schools. Alex traps Herod on a plane and stops him from taking over the world. Herod got away and Alex is now on the hunt for him before he tries to take over the world again. My book had a very good plot to it because it was laid out very nice and it had a lot of details. It was also good because it always kept me on the edge wondering what was going to happen next. Like wether or not Alex can capture Herod Sayle in time. One of the reasons I did not like my book was because it is slow and it took a long time to get to the point of what is going to happen. Overall it was a good book it was very fun to
