Community development assists and improves the patient safety in primary healthcare services, by engaging people in activities that can enhance and expend their knowledge and understanding of use of services. It is run by 90 elected Aboriginal people, from communities, residing in the Southern half of the Northern Territory. The aims of the CLC is to help Aboriginal people, reclaim their land, and protect Aboriginal cultural and sacred sites, helping in resolving land disputes, native title claims and promoting community development and improving service deliveries.
