The book Amusing Ourselves to Death by Neil Postman is about the history of our culture; how it changed from a typographical culture to an image-based culture and the effects of it on America. In this book, Postman claims that television has negatively affected Americans and how they think about serious topics. His argument is that culture’s perception of what is true comes from the medium of its communication.
