Adnan spends his fifteen years behinds the bars by Jay’s testimony; however, through out the four interviews with the police and at the trial testimony, Jay provided different statements that make his word not a significant evidence of Adnan’s guilty. A witness is the one who would not lie and be firm on what they actually saw because that will contribute to proving one is an innocent or guilty, but people can see that Jay is not a realizable person based on his history as a drug dealer and his key elements of testimony keep changing rapidly. This reason makes sense because Asia and even a friend of hers claim that they saw and even spoke to Adnan that day and at that time Hae was murdered. This part of the story is when Asia found out Adna was arrested so she wrote him a letter explaining what she remembered about seeing him that day and time. This is from the letter “Im not sure if you remember talking to me in the library january 13’th,but I remember”. This means Adnan is innocent because he was not murdering Hae at the time he was at the library. There was several pieces of evidence that helped build the case, but none was enough to actually convict Adnan of murder. For instance, there was no DNA evidence that proved Adnan killed Hae. DNA evidence was found in Hae’s car that belonged to Adnan, but then again Adnan had been in Hae’s car before since they had dated for a while. Sarah even asked her own nephew, Sam, to recall what he did on a specific night six weeks ago and he seemed very torn about his answer. Sam says, “Not a clue”.
The use of eyewitness statements and testimony’s can be a great source of information, but can also lead to wrongful convictions. Due to eyewitness testimony, innocent people are convicted of crimes they have not committed. This is why the wording of a question is important to consider when interviewing witnesses. Due to the fact that eyewitness testimony can be the most concrete evidence in an investigation, witnesses may feel they are helping an officer by giving them as much information as possible, therefore they may tell them information that is not entirely true, just to please them. This is why there are advantages and disadvantages to using open and close ended questioning at different durations of an interview. The way you word a question may impact the memory of a witness, this is because a person cannot completely memorize the exact occurrences of an event.
The play “Doubt” by John Patrick Shanley began with a sermon by Father Brendan Flynn, a well liked and enlightened neighborhood priest, who says, "Doubt can be a bond as powerful and sustaining as certainty". (Shanley 6) Sister Aloysius Beauvier is a strict traditional nun, who was declared to protect and secure St. Nicholas Church School. Father Flynn seems to be the protagonist in the play and Sister Aloysius is the antagonist. The whole play, sister Aloysius Beauvier suspected Father Flynn of molesting a 12-year-old boy named Donald Muller, who is the first African-American student in the St. Nicholas Church School. I think that Sister Aloysius’s overreacting, because Father Flynn is innocent. In the middle of these two characters, Sister James is a young and innocent teacher who wants to be neutral between the conflict of Sister Aloysius and Father Flynn.
Family’s usually tend to force their kids in to the religion they follow and expect them to make no sin which leads to the hide and seek game between the parents and the kids. Adnan’s family were Muslims that migrated from pashuar, Pakistan. Where the smallest thing as a man and women that are not related cannot be having a conversation what so ever. Dating was not acceptable, it’s either marriage or single. Adnan was not allowed to date or have girl friends or be a normal American teenage but he did it anyways without his parent’s knowledge. The prosecutor at the time claimed that Adnan’s motive to strangle Hae is that he gave up his religion, put himself in a river of sin and dissed his parent’s by dating a girl but when Hae called it off he was left with nothing. He killed her out of not love but pride. Even though this is an understandable point, Adnan was never really a strict Muslim. He goes out clubbing, drink alcohol, have sex with different girls…pretty much everything a Muslim person should not be doing. Him dating Hae didn’t make him anymore sin that he usually make in a daily basis. He never felt like hae have taken him out of his religion road because he was never in one. He didn’t have a motive to kill Hae because they both moved on in to other people but kept a good friendship between them so all of a sudden he couldn’t have felt betrayed enough to kill her. The reasonable question here is why did Adnan tell the police officer in the first interview that he was expecting a ride from hae that day and later when interviewed again denied asking hae a ride because he have his own car and don’t have a reason to ask her for a ride knowing that she always picks up her little cousin from school right when she gets out of school. Why would he lie about that, and did he really ask her for a ride as Jay and some of Hae’s friends claimed or he did not. Even though this

The court must find more evidence and not to depend on eyewitness testimony and to look for the best people as possible. Besides, there more evidence that DNA testing. Eyewitness must be proven in order to arrest the right suspect and question the suspect to get more evidence in steady of keeping in prison for false witness. The police for tracking everywhere the suspect went and people the suspect contact with that time. It will solve the problem by asking the eyewitness question and the suspect questions to see if both things they said

When Jay speaks about picking up Adnan he says: “I noticed that Hae wasn't with him. I parked next to him. He asked me to get out the car. I get out the car. He asks me, am I ready for this? And I say, ready for what? And he takes the keys. He opens the trunk. And all I can see is Hae's lips are all blue, and she's pretzeled up in the back of the trunk. And she's dead.” Jay goes to pick up Adnan from the actual murder and describes the episode in detail. Jay uses short sentences for dramatic effect, and speaks confidently, which is unusual when incriminating
