Colour is a non-verbal visual communication in our lives. Kalmus (2006) assists that colour uses a most important part in our lives. He says unlikely listening to music for a short time; we look at colour every moment of our lives continuously. I can say it is the first impression that people view something at first time. It implants something in people’s mind and thought from the eye and it gives ideas to people how they should react that they have seen. It does not say anything but it says something by showing colour depending on an environment. Also colour has an important role of decision making. People decide their choice based on the colour if there is a same condition except colour. Likewise, colour dominantly effects on what we see through our eyes and sometimes it brings certain emotion. Through the essay, I will analyse how colour is used in time period expression, psychological mood connection within Wes Anderson’s latest film “Grand Budapest Hotel.” Use of colour in film Colour can evoke certain emotion and also express or represent a specific culture or period. When people heard of the movie named “Grand Budapest Hotel”, I can expect that pink will remind on majority of people mind if they have watched this movie. Pastel tone of pink is dominates in this movie, so that makes it look like a fairytale because it is really hard to find pastel pink tone of building or natural thing outside of film. This movie is story about recollects of friendship journey with Gustave H who was concierge at the hotel and Zero Moustafa who was lobby boy at Grand Budapest hotel in Wes Anderson’s fictional Mitteleuropean town of Nebelsbad,
