People are required to have these qualities to become a social worker. There are a lot of things social workers are required to do while they work. Social workers have a lot of tasks to accomplish. They have to make sure their clients are stable enough to be alone and that they will not harm themselves or anyone else. Although most social workers work in an office, they may spend time visiting clients. School social workers may be assigned to multiple schools and travel around the school district to see students. “Understaffing and large caseloads may cause the work to be stressful. Social workers may work remotely through distance counseling, using videoconferencing or mobile technology to meet with clients and organize support and advocacy groups.”(Child). Social workers get a lot of cases to where they might have to travel. They can use the videoconferencing or mobile technology to contact and have meetings with their clients instead of driving to them.
