1. Previous experience in a customer service focused environment with well developed conflict resolution skills

Working as an Accounts Officer required me to regularly solve customer queries over the phone and by emails. Many customers paid their invoices by credit or debit cards and there were times when an invoice would have discrepancies with regards to GST, price or quantity. At times the customers would be annoyed or would not make the payment. It was my duty to solve the disputes with utmost care and apologize in a polite manner for the errors. This step would keep them calm and enhance customer retention for the company.

2. Proven ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a busy work environment

My main role as an Accounts Officer was to look after the accounts receivable. Also, I supported the duties of Accounts Payable and Payroll. During the absence of accounts payable officer (holiday leave for 2 weeks), I had to balance the workload of receivable, payable and payroll.

I spoke with the Financial Controller and advised to handle the duties of payable and receivable. Furthermore, the payroll work would be divided between us. In order to succeed, I concentrated in replying to emails, taking phone calls, processing credit cards, etc. from 9 am to 2 pm. After 2 pm, I focused on solving disputes or urgent issues concerning customers and suppliers without hampering daily
