Circulatory System
The Circulatory System is a transportation and cooling system for the body. The Red Blood Cells act like billions of little mail men carrying all kinds of things that are needed by the cells, also RBC's carry oxygen and nutrients to the cells. All cells in the body require oxygen to remain alive. Also there is another kind of cells called white blood cells moving in the system. Why blood cells protect from bacteria and other things that are harmful. The Circulatory system contains vein arteries, veins are used to carry blood to the heart and arteries to carry the blood away. The blood inside veins is where most of the oxygen and nutrients are and is called deoxygenated and the color of the blood is dark red. However, blood in the arteries are also full of oxygen but is a bright red. The main components of the circulatory system are the heart, blood, and blood vessels.
The Heart
The heart is two sided and has four chambers and is mostly made up of muscle. The heart’s muscles are different from other muscles in the body because the heart’s muscles cannot become tired, so the muscle is always expanding and contacting. The heart usually beats between 60 and 100 beats per minute. In the right side of the heart, there is low pressure and its job is to send red blood cells. Blood enters the right heart through a chamber which is called right atrium. The right atrium is another word for entry room. Since the atrium is located above the right ventricle, a mixture of gravity and a squeeze pushes tricuspid valve into the right ventricle. The tricuspid is made up of three things that allow blood to travel from top to bottom in the heart but closes to prevent the blood from backing up in the right atrium.
The Aorta and the Arterial System
The arteries that take the blood to the head are found in something called aortic arch. After the blood goes through the arch, it’s distributed to the rest of the body. From the aorta, blood is sent to other arteries, where it gives oxygen to every cell.

Essay on The Circulatory System And The Lymphatic System

- The Circulatory System The circulatory system works as the body’s transportation network, tirelessly sending nourishment and protection to all vital parts. According to Merriam-Webster, the circulatory system is “the system of blood, blood vessels, lymphatics, and heart concerned with the circulation of the blood and lymph.” While many may already be familiar with the circulatory systems’ role in the transport of oxygen, it does much more. In reality, the circulatory system is built of two subsystems: the lymphatic system and the cardiovascular system....   [tags: Blood, Heart, Immune system, Circulatory system]

Essay on The Circulatory System And The Human Body

- The roles of the circulatory and respiratory system both carry important responsibilities and are essential in their jobs to the human body. The circulatory system is one, if not the, most important system in the human body. The circulatory system is made up of the heart, blood, and blood vessels. Within the blood vessels, there are three types: arteries, veins, and capillaries. The heart is an organ made up of cardiac muscle that has a role similar to a pump. When the muscles in the heart contract, it pumps fresh blood away from the heart, through a main artery called the aorta, and to the organs and cells of the body....   [tags: Heart, Blood, Blood vessel, Circulatory system]

The Human Of Human Circulatory System Essay

- It does not matter what animal, seastar or human, every single animal has a circulatory system. When one visualizes a circulatory system, he or she imagines a beating heart with blood vessels spreading across the body. Definition of circulatory system according to a scientific source: “The system in the body by which blood and lymph are circulated.” - Boundless Textbook. In other words, a heart is not required to be a part of the circulatory system. The human circulatory system has a more complex physiology and anatomy compared to echinoderms....   [tags: Heart, Blood, Blood vessel, Circulatory system]

Structure, Function And Functions Of The Circulatory System Essay examples

- Structure, Function & Enzymes The Circulatory System The human circulatory system, or cardiovascular system, is made up of the heart, blood and blood vessels. The circulatory system has three functions: transportation of substances, protection from disease and regulation of temperature. The heart pumps blood to our body tissues via a network of blood vessels. Humans have a closed circulatory system that is in two parts; the systemic circulation and the pulmonary circulation. The systemic system carries oxygenated blood around the body and deoxygenated blood back to the heart, the pulmonary system carries deoxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs, and the oxygenated blood from the lungs...   [tags: Blood, Heart, Digestion, Circulatory system]

The Circulatory System Essay

- The circulatory system is consisted of a group of organs that transfer blood throughout the body and is responsible for the flow of nutrients, oxygen, and other gases to and from all cells. It is also known as the body’s transport system. The system contains three essential components that make up the circulatory system: the heart, blood vessels, and blood. These elements are vital to the body for survival. It includes the pulmonary and systemic circulatory loop. Also, it contains these three independent systems that work together; the heart (cardiovascular), the lungs (pulmonary), arteries, veins, coronary and portal vessels (systemic)....   [tags: Blood, Heart, Blood vessel, Artery]

The Circulatory System Essay

- The Circulatory System Have you ever wondered how the circulatory system works. Me too. It is truly amazing what our body does to pump blood (a liquid that carries nutrients) around the body to supply the muscles with energy. The circulatory system is the system in our bodies that is in-charge of circulating blood around the body. The heart is the central point of the circulatory system. It is almost entirely made of involuntary muscle, meaning that the heart works on its own, and the brain doesn't have to tell it what to do....   [tags: Blood, Heart, Body]

Essay on The Circulatory System

- The Circulatory System The circulatory system is almost the most important system of all of the different body systems because it supplies the body with the blood and nutrients it needs to function properly and maintain life and movement. The heart is a muscular organ that lies behind the ribcage and between the lungs and is a pump that keeps this transport system moving. Normally a person's heart is as big as their fist while it is clenched; the heart is made up of thick muscly walls and is divided into two separate pumps....   [tags: Papers]

Essay about The Circulatory System

- The Circulatory System The circulatory system can be greatly affected by the type and amount of training a person does and therefore has to be considered very closely compared to other body systems. The main functions of the circulatory system are: · Transport- carrying blood, water, oxygen and nutrients throughout the body, and transport the removal of waste. · Body temperature control-the blood absorbs the body heat then carries it to the lungs and to the skin, where it is then released....   [tags: Papers]

Circulatory System Essay

- Circulatory System A simple definition for the circulatory system would be that it is the main transportation and cooling system for the body. Red Blood Cells have an important job in this system in that they carry all sorts of packages that are needed by all the cells in the body. Red blood cells carry oxygen and nutrients to the cells, which is needed in order for cells to survive. Besides red blood cells there are also White Blood Cells moving in the circulatory system. White Blood Cells can be considered as the paramedics, police and street cleaners of the circulatory system....   [tags: essays research papers]

At the end of arterioles are capillaries. The blood passes through the capillaries and enters the venous system.
The Venous System
The venous system takes blood back to the heart. It flows from the capillaries to the veins. The biggest veins in the body are the vena cavas. The superior cava carries blood from the upper part of the body to the heart, however the inferior cava carries blood from the lower part. Venous blood is very dark and both cavas end in the right atrium.
