The Best of Both Worlds As a public school student I know how it is to get up every morning and sit in boring classes just waiting for that final “end of the day” bell to ring. I have contemplated many times the idea of becoming a homeschool student. In my eyes, being a homeschool student is the best path to take because you have the ability to wake up whenever you want, work at your own pace, and eat something besides the disgusting school cafeteria food. Although there is one downside to being homeschooled and that is you never hear much from homeschool kids. They never seem to be involved in many activities, but have always proven themselves to be extremely successful within their efforts as they dedicate to their studies and preparation for college. Being at a public school has its downsides, but it has given me some of the most memorable times in my life. Let us get home school students involved with many of the opportunities that I have been given. Let us give them some of the memorable experiences that I have experienced. Finally, let us give them the social skills they need for success. The proposal of this essay is to find a way to actively involve homeschool students with publically educated students to give them experience and social skills. These abilities will in time lead these kids towards success. Why not incorporate the public school system’s activities and events with the homeschool world? Let us all strive to become a community as one and grow together. Whether you prefer to educate your children by homeschooling them or want to show them the path of the public school system, we can all unite and work together to better the skills of the young kids
