Anti Bullying Laws are not Working

It seems as if everyday there is someone new getting bullied ,even though there are laws that prevent this from happening . The U.S. needs to enforce all anti-bullying laws, to insure there are no more victims . Having bullying laws in place for everyone is so beneficial because they serve to protect the rights to the victims
Bullying is the use of force threat or coercion to abuse ,intimidate or, aggressively impose domination over others”(The Effects...1). Bullying may be caused because of race , religion , gender ,sexuallity ,and even apperance. Bullying can be done in different ways including verbal , physical , and cyber .’’bullying ranges from simple one-on-one bullying in which the bully may have one or more ‘’lieutenants’’. Who seem to be willing assist the primary bully in his or her bullying activities. Bullying can happen anywhere from school to family and workplace, home , and neighborhood.
Having bullying laws is a must they protect the victim. “ many of the schools that have bullying programs have seen success “. According to the scarlet scroll students have made an improvement. “Florida schools have seen a 30 percent decrease with in 2 years”. According to the article anti-bullying programs are attempting to phase tactics.
The most important benefit of having anti-bullying laws is that abusers need to pay the consequences of their actions. Its not fair for them to bully other people and hurt them and nothing be done about it. It will just continue to happen.”Bullying has been shown to have profound effects on youth which often continue into adulthood” To asses the impact on bullying , it is essential to establish a good base definition.

... working with the district will have to be taken away form their duties in order to handle a situation. School districts have been face with dealing with many different cases that unfortunately require a great amount of intensive work. A challenge that school districts are facing is determining if the incident is bullying or a conflict and if not determine then more time and paperwork is needed. The time that is spent trying to resolve, reporting and identifying and incident is time that can be spent working with students and making sure they are receiving the best education.
