All around the world, Social networking is getting stronger and stronger. All ages are getting attached to it in many ways. As a result, we aren’t paying attention to our peers. In today’s world, young people are more influenced by social networking than before. Some of those sites are Facebook, Instagram, Myspace and other. Even if social networking informs and connects us with the world around us, there are some negatives aspects that should be known toward our youngest generations. One of the third most active and used social networking in the world open to the public a new way of using Facebook in Education. For Mark, Facebook can be used as an educational tool in a school system. It is true that it is a nice way to communicate with others, however, I don’t think Facebook can improve our educational system. As a college student, it is very hard to do homework while being on Facebook because we cannot focus on what we are doing. As an example a young boy or girl who is 13 or less having a Facebook account and decide to use it as a way to study. Being on Facebook, their friends send them a funny video and instead of studying, he or she will be tempted to watch it and from there they will forget about Homework and go on others funny links, as a result no more homework’s done and more distractions. He says: “My philosophy is that for education you need to start at a really, really young age”. Sometimes what we do can stay with us for many years. As a student and a Facebook user, there are a lot of mistakes that we do and have done in the past to accomplish our desire. Just like those 13 years old or less who are breaking the privacy rule by having a Facebook account Just to fit in and got accepted by others, can reflect consequences in the future. Most of the time, we don’t want to accept the importance of the word “NO”. We believe that because we had seen others students or our friends do it, we need to do it. We see it as Fib or a small choice that can be changeable. Based on our reading of the article, “Facebook users Who Are Under Age Raise Concerns”, exposed us in the story of an 11 years’ boy in New York who wanted to fit in and be like his friends by having a Facebook account. But he was not aware of the dangers and the consequences that Facebook can have, he got one of the horrible and worst experience of his life. He accepted a friend request of a pervert who pretend to be a girl, that pervert ruined the little boy life by posting his picture on sex-oriented sites, along with nasty comments. As Mr. Nigam says: “it can be a nightmare for an 11-year-old boy who just wanted to hang out with his friends”. Because of one decision, the 11-year-old boy personality and identity was destroyed for a long among of time. I am pretty sure he just wanted to hang out with his friends and have fun.
