If I could visit any country in the world I would visit France, and not just Paris. To this day, France is a very cultural country and still contains so much historical art and architecture. I took French in high school for two years in attempt to learn the language before I came to Clark. It is a pretty language, but is so hard to learn! My French teacher studied the language for six years herself, and said learned from living in Paris for one years than what she learned in high school. French class is the reason why I know what France has and looks like because we did a lot of projects to study the culture along with the language. The purest form of French is spoken there, and although it would be hard for me to understand, I think it would be the most helpful place for a former French students to help sharpen up my language skills. Loire is also a gorgeous city, with tall village-like house and cottages, castles, and hundreds of fields and vineyards to walk through and relax at. I would also like to take a few weeks or months and live in a village in Loire or in an apartment in Paris. In France, it is not very common to own a car. People get around by walking to the local markets in their neighborhoods every day or by a bus. I think that is a nice way to enjoy the view of the city and get some fresh air every day. I would also go to a café every day and eat a bunch of yummy French food like macaroons, baguettes, crepes, croissants, and tartines and eat every single cheese there is in France because I love cheese! I would also like to take the time to walk around different neighborhoods and cities of France each day just to walk on the streets and walk through a park instead of seeing a landmark every day. I like how people in France still take the time to do that, to just walk around and visit a park. Here in the U.S., we only leave our home if we need to be somewhere like work or school. It could be because nobody likes to walk around in the rain, but I personally love it and find it refreshing. I would love to do that in a
