We all come from different backgrounds. We all have different histories and those differences bring new ideas and hopes and dreams for each of us. so again i have a big question . My question is, what does it take, what will it take, to finally unite humanity? by this im trying to say What has to happen before we lay down our petty playground fights, and become human , become one ? Honestly at this point I would give anything, to see what we, as humans, are actually capable of. So again, I ask, what would have to happen in the world, for us to finally come together in a way that cannot be undone. (If everyone cared and nobody cried,If everyone loved and nobody lied,If everyone shared and swallowed their pride, Then we’d see the day when nobody died). This song from the band nickelback came across my mind while writing my essay . because this idea of humanity could be the turning point in our society. if only we let free the prejudice and negatives we have today.
I feel as it at this point we have grown accustomed into believing that the act of survival is an act of coming together . the reason i say this is because throughout history ,think about all the times that we truly come together or relatively become a human race. for example 9/11 After that tragic day we saw the everyone in the us come together to mourn the deaths and set aside the differences that they had and not only those that were involved mourned but the whole world came to mourn for us collectively. but here 's the point i 'm trying to set here . i think people see tragedies as a way to come together . why is it that after every tragedy we truly come together . think about it a few examples include

And again this goes to my point of how people band together after tragedy and chaos; it 's not because of some inherent good nature, it 's because we inherently want to survive. Once the chaos and tragedy clears, we become who we 've always been; savages, extorting our own kind for fame and fortune.Humanity as a whole doesn 't seem as a thing i 'd see in my decade, but we 've pitted ourselves against one another like school children struggling for status, regardless of the consequences; blinded to the corruption we spread to one another through all manner of manipulative means. A lot of times, we don 't even realize we 're doing it, because that is our true nature.
The state of humanity is brittle and we need to start learning if we are to continue as the superior species. A human being is a complicated entity of a contradictory nature where creative and destructive, virtuous and vicious are interwoven. Each of us has gone through various kinds of struggle at least once in a lifetime ranging from everyday discrepancies to worldwide catastrophes. There are always different causes and reasons that trigger these struggles, however, there is common ground for them as well: people are different, even though it is a truism no one seems to able to realize this statement from beyond the bounds of one’s self and reach out to approach the Other.
The widely used motto “United we stand, divided we fall” exemplifies the importance of a strong, stable human structure needed to succeed. It may be the structure of an empire, or the biological makeup of the human body, these systems in our world are not only desired by human nature, but are essential for progress. Though it’s true that humans naturally desire patterns, structures and standards in their lives, the underlying intention for these patterns isn’t to provide shelter or refuge, but to rather provide a pathway to function and achieve various goals, moral or immoral.
In the end, our society needs to realize that everyone is created equally, no individual is greater than the other. We as all breathe the same air, come from the same creator, and bleed the same blood. The faster we realize this simple concept the better because how can a society progress when it doesn’t even accept it’s own
Without a common enemy, where is the unifying cause to organize? What will bring the people together? Once people are driven by hunger it seems to be to late. Hunger is desperate and powerless, without reason or strength. Humanity has conquered the world. Can we conquer out greed and fear? Steinbeck was unsure that our species could overcome our seemed hatred of ourselves. Maybe the fear of terrorism can bring the world together. In the meantime, people continue to struggle. Maybe things will finally change and we can all gain the empathy and understanding that were Steinbeck's. Unfortunately, those qualities seem to come only through great struggle.

The world is a very complex system with over a 100 diverse cultures and norms. Religion, wealth, poverty, and political diversity pull us apart. Since the beginning of time humans were never similar for a purpose. What if we try? Try to find our differences more alike in ways we never thought of. What will happen when these views and perspectives coincides with one another?

In order to survive, people have been known to go to great lengths and to do things they would not ordinarily do. I have noticed this throughout my life by watching movies, and reading books. Most of the time, it is the main character who comes face to face with death, and does anything to keep themselves alive. I have set up a few great examples that show’s people in their survival situations, and what they will do to get out alive.

War has always been, and will always be, a necessary action perpetrated by the human race. There are many different reasons for war: rage, passion, greed, defense, and religion to name a few. When differences cannot be solved or compromised through mediation with an opposing party and anger burns with a fiery passion, war is the last remaining option. Obviously, the purpose of any war is to win. How are wars won? Perhaps if we were to ask a member of the Defense Department during the early stages of the war in Iraq, his answer might be, “To win this war we must force the enemy into submission by means of ethical warfare.” If we were to ask a marine in the Second World War what he was told by his commanding officer he would reply, “To close with the enemy and destroy him.” (Fussell, 763).
Humans have engaged in war for thousands of years. The earliest recorded instance is circa 2700 BCE. Of course, the fighting extends much further back as this was near the advent of writing. Even Confucius observed "... war checks population growth" speaking in relation to what problems overcrowding would institute (Neurath 6). Tertullian, a Christian author circa 200 CE stated "...pestilence, famine, wars and earthquakes have come to be regarded as a blessing to overcrowded nations, since they serve to prune away at the luxuriant growth of the human race" (8). These two statements, separated by almost 700 years and a vast distance coincide on one major point: that war is a useful tool to govern overpopulation. The ramifications of overpopulation are so great, that it is being reported in multiple news agencies that a "Sixth Extinction" is underway, caused solely by the human's enthusiastic attempts at procreation and manipulation of Earth (Eldredge). In fact, just as population grows exponentially, so did the deaths resulting from war; a trend that continued up until the end of World War II, after which worldwide deaths from war decline dramatically and rest at around one million per ye...
Truly this is exactly why there is so much hate in this world. Every single person on this earth is "damaged" and every single damaged person fails to realize that they are not alone. This world consists of large masses of bodies lashing out at everyone around them. Many lashing out of fear that their trauma will repeat itself if they don 't hold up this fierce barrier between them and the rest of the world. This tends to create these large balls of negative energy fueled by anger, pain, sadness, fear, jealousy, and ultimately... hate. Eventually that energy will come crashing down. I 've said for several years now that we will be the one 's to end our entire world. We will, at some point, be the reason that the human
War has been around for centuries. From the time modern civilizations began, war has played an integral part in human history. It shaped the world into the modern world we live in. War has been said to be a great motivator, for example, the Great Wall of China was built to fend off the attackers from the north. However, the negative aspects of war far outweighs any positive effects it might have. The destruction of civilizations, cities and countries, mass killings of men, woman and children alike, the disastrous effect it has on economy and the after effects of war can last for centuries.
