Addressing Meat Eaters:
Eating meat; it’s your way of life, it’s what you’ve always known. Let’s face it, when the food is one your plate, your mind is focused on how scrumptious it will be. What if I told you that eliminating meat from your diet will actually enhance your life? Quality and longevity, and your vegetarian friends want you to be around as long as they will be! That’s right, eating a diet void of meat has a lower mortality risk. It has been shown that people who live a vegetarian lifestyle tend to have a lower BMI, something desirable to many of us. The herbivorous population may see better control of dietary cholesterol, as animal fats and proteins can raise your LDL (the bad cholesterol) and may cause arthrosclerosis, which means that your blood vessels will harden! Over time, consuming meats, especially processed meats, can lead to diabetes. Furthermore, a high consumption of animal protein is linked to breast, prostate and colorectal cancers.
If you can’t give up your meat or simply don’t want to, that’s okay, perhaps you might consider cutting back on the amount of animal proteins that you consume. A great place to start would be to partake in the global movement, Meatless Monday, going meatless even just once a week can reduce your risks of chronic illnesses. Aside from the health factor, planning vegetarian meals will save you money. Based around vegetables, legumes and grains, vegetarian meals are less expensive than meat.

...dy the vegetarians, I would just encourage them and reinforce that what they’re doing is great. Not only great for them, but for the planet and the animals. With this audience, I get to take on a more self-righteous tone, which is not typical for me, I don’t like to preach to others about what I feel is right or wrong.
When it comes to the socioeconomic standpoint, I don’t think that it makes a difference for either side. There does seem to be a growing population of vegetarians, as stated by Wikipedia 6% of Americans are vegetarian and 7% are vegan. That is up from a 1971 survey, where only 1% were found to be vegetarian.
I added a quote to end of each of my essays simply for emphasis; everyone has heard of Albert Einstein and knows him as being a genius, the idea here is just to reinforce what I have written with a statement from a truly brilliant person.
