Technology has increasingly become a big part of peoples’ everyday lives. Our dependence on these technological products are based on it helping us advance in the medical, financial and social fields. Medically, technology has allowed the human race to defy all odd against deadly illnesses, broken bones and advancements allowing people to prolong their lives. Once of the greatest technologically advancements of history is the space exploration. But, technology can also carry a negative connotation to it, like allowing people to create advance weaponry and also weapons of mass destruction. Personally, technology helps me with my day to day activities like, checking the weather, setting alarms, giving me directions and even keeping in touch with families and friends. IST has always been a big part of my life, many people in my family have either businesses or jobs that involve the technological field. So naturally, I rejected the notion of ever becoming a technology major or having anything to do with IST; as I grew older my relationship with technology went from hate to love. It reminds me of the little things, like teaching my grandparents how to use a word document or my father how to use google docs, or even Gmail in general. IST means more to me than just a major or something I will do once I graduate from college- it applies to a certain type of intellectual level that I crave.

In 2015, technologically the world has made amazing strides creating products like the Apple Watch or the Oxo Barista Brain 12-cup Brewing System making our already convenient lives even more convenient. Along with making strides, the information technology world also has set backs, the Standish Groups’ Chaos report ...

...s that involve technology is Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Microsoft Project and RSS feed, google reader and Web technologies. Other than Microsoft office a more popular and arguably a more convenient method of typing and storing documents is Google Docs. Google Doc is linked with the users Gmail account allowing the person to create a document, PowerPoint and excel spreadsheet within their email. Not only will they be allowed to access it through their own personal email but the user can also collaborate on all documents and google docs automatically saves their work. There are other technology based features like, RSS feeder which is used to keep track of all the news based on a certain subject of interest.
