What is abortion? Often defined as the immediate termination of a pregnancy in its first stages. There’s a saying, “the earlier the pregnancy the easier the abortion.” (gynmed. Par.1) There are so many different reasons as to why women get abortions, but to me they’re just excuses. No reason is legitimate enough to kill an innocent child. Some argue that the child isn’t a human yet or has yet to develop at the time of termination, others argue that they have been raped and can’t bear the stress of keeping the child. And others are just too irresponsible to take care of a child. (Flanders Par.1) Even so these reasons still aren’t valid enough.
A common factor for all those who are pro-abortion is that they believe the embryo or fetus has yet to be developed, so therefore it isn’t a human. In an article written by Nancy Flanders explains how pro-abortionists feel about the fetus,

In most states abortion is legal as early as the first 6 weeks of pregnancy. Which is when a heartbeat can first be detected through a transvaginal probe. (Abortion Laws Par. 1) Every state has their own abortion laws. For example, in ‘North Dakota, abortions are prohibited after 6 weeks you can’t get an abortion. In Arkansas after 12 weeks’ abortions are prohibited, Arizona has theirs at 20 weeks any abortions passed that are prohibited.’ (Abortion Laws Par. 3) As much as I am against abortion it does make sense that the government realized that at a certain point in a woman’s pregnancy, abortion just shouldn’t be an option anymore, because after 24 weeks a fetus can survive on its own outside of the mother womb, so terminating it doesn’t quite make sense. I understand that some women face certain medical situations in which an abortion may be their only option to stay alive in cases like that of Cecily
