The fact that female jurors were more likely than males to conclude that sexual harassment had taken place only when both parties differed in attractiveness and that unattractive defendants are 2.5 times more likely to be considered guilty than attractive defendants just goes on to show that despite the fact that as a whole society has made leaps and bounds for protecting people from sexual harassment there is still an immense amount of area left to cover to protect people from this discrimination and ensure that gender equality prevails. It is an uphill battle to fight against perceptions that have been held for decades. However, equality and personal freedom are a fight worthwhile.
