Do you know What Clad Piping is? Do you know what rhetorical analysis is? Well here is your chance to learn about clad piping through rhetorical analysis. Rhetorical analysis are strategies used by the author to organize the method they are going to express their message to their audience. In the rhetorical process, the author researches their target audience and learns about their backgrounds and expertise. From the research the author will select a message to deliver, along with facts, statistics, thoughts, and goals. After the author has selected his content then he selects the rhetorical strategies and rhetorical appeals to support and strengthen the ideas.

To further understand rhetorical analysis, I have selected the article “MesoCoat Offers New Process for Clad Pipe Manufacturing.” It was written in RIGZONE on April 5th 2013. RIGZONE is a website/newsletter that provides news, career opportunities, analytical data, and upcoming events to energy professionals. Karen Boman is the author of the article and Senior Editor of RIGZONE. Her expertise covers engineering, drilling, construction, new products and services. The article is written to educate the pipeline world on the new anticorrosive coating process that is applied to pipes. The author wants its audience to know that clad piping manufacturing technology is growing to meet current and future demands.

The appeal that will requires attention and discussion in the essay is logos. To further elaborate on strategies and appeal, I will use det...

...strate how the growth, expansion, and expenses were dealt with by MesoCad. Karen without doubt used exemplification to her best to demonstrate that MesoCad has the ability to expand their manufacturing facilities overseas. Comparison and contrast was also used by Karen. She did a respectable job, but it was not enough information when it came to her analysis on anticorrosive material and erosive materials. To really get her message across, she needed to elaborate more on the differences of the materials. Karen uses logos to illustrate that clad piping is experiencing an increase in growth and demand. On a personal note, I wish she would have used rhetorical strategy to elaborate more on the details of the manufacturing process. As an Industrial Technology student it would have been a benefit to know more on how the pipe Clad Pipe Manufacturing process works.
