INTRODUCTION
In a sense, philosophy is the explanations great minds come up with to describe our world and why things are the way they are. Teaching philosophy is the statement of one’s beliefs, knowledge and views about teaching and learning. Learning is a continuous process throughout one’s life time. Informal education happens through interactions with environment, individual experiences and failures and formal education is achieved through colleges and universities. In this paper I would be writing about my own teaching philosophy and the university where my philosophy can be applied and the philosophy of the theorist I base my philosophy on. Bandura (1985) states: “most human behavior is learned through modelling: from observing others one forms an idea of how new behaviors are performed” (p.22). This theory argues that new information can be learned through observation. Bandura (1977) explains personality of human individual results from the interaction between environment, behavior and psychological processes. Based on Bandura’s theory, I have concluded that there are four core conditions:

From this theory, I have aspired that a teacher is a role model to students and they observe and learn many things from a teacher apart from the formal teaching experiences. I have to make my subject matter simple enough according to the learner’s level of education for them to ensure understanding. Apart from that, it also gave me insight into the behavior response of my students and how to treat them empathetically. Developing patience in handling the complex situation in teaching/ learning environment is crucial to this teaching style. Additionally, Bandura teaches that for the reproduction of the behavior I have to prompt my students with appropriate triggers like quizzes, assignments and other learning experiences to exhibit their capabilities to the fullest potential. This theory also highlights motivation and I believe that it’s vital as a teacher to be a great motivator.
