When a lot of people hear my name, Charity Tevis, they probably think of the talkative girl with a speech impediment, and I am fine with that. I cannot pronounce my r’s correctly, and I know that is part of me. I do not think I can be Charity Tevis with the ability to say my r’s. It is a unique fact about me, you notice the second I begin to speak and I am completely, and utterly good with that.
I guess to really know who I am you need to know the origin of me and where I come from. I was born right here in Longview, Washington and have lived here my whole life. My parents, Russ and Jane, are wonderful parents who try their best in everything imaginable and that has affected me a lot as a person. My ethics are different, my morals are all there, and I am very outgoing. As well as my eight other siblings, I have participated in student government, key club, 4-H, church activities, etc, all while maintaining above a 3.8 GPA, playing sports, and having a social life. But I guess to ease the process a bit I will let you know who I am. I am a backseat driver to life. I like to put it this way because not only am I a backseat driver in most situations, but I absolutely hate not knowing what is going on. I thrive on being in charge and doing things my way. I have learned when to do this as well as when it is not appropriate to do it, but don’t worry, in my head I am definitely doing things differently. I can not handle messes as well as sticky things. If an apple has a sticker on it or did have one that I can see, I will not eat that apple. Now, I know this is insane, but again, I am a backseat driver to life so it all fits
