Odysseus's Personality in Odyssey by Homer

There once was a man who used all of his Zues given abilities to save himself and his men more than once. He was never fearful of any situation that was to come. He was brave and ready to take on any challenge that was ahead of him. That man was King Odysseus of Ithaca, a man who used his wits to get out of any situation. Odysseus's wise use of his wits helped him survive for 20 years on the dangerous trip home. These wits of his were heroic, intelligent, and he was very well respected. Odysseus showed that he was heroic in countless situations. He wasn't afraid of anything. His first trip on the long journey home, he was trapped in a cave of a Cyclops and his men wanted to get our of there, because who wanted to stay in a monster's cave, but Odysseus decided to stay, because of the Cyclops had tons of cheese his men could eat. When the Cyclops was asleep, Odysseus' men had made a very large, sharp stick to blind the Cyclops with by poking out his eye. After escaping the Cyclops, Odysseus and his men came across Circe's island, and eventually ran out of food, so his men decided to go hunt. After a while, only one man came back saying everyone else was turned into animals by a witch. The man pointed out where she lived and Odysseus went to get his men back. Odysseus scaled a mountain, of who knows how high, without a harness, and didn't fall. After meeting Circe, she offered to Odysseus that he didn't have to leave, but he only came to get his men and go home, so Circe told him where he had to go and told him the monsters and areas to avoid on his trip. After leaving Circe's island, which he didn't have to, he went to the Land of the Dead, where Circe told him to find the blind prophet Tiresias. This was a place where no mortal had...

...nce to save his life more than once. Odysseus was a highly respected man, and his name was spoken our of respect. Any man would be highly honored for just a glimpse of him. He is so respected because of his encounters, defeats, escape of monsters, and completing impossible quests. On his way home, he drifted on a King's island, and when he found out it was Odysseus, he treated him like a god from Olympus. The King was generous enough to give him a ship and crew to get home. Odysseus might have just been a god himself he was so respected. Odysseus was never afraid to use his abilities. He wasn't scared of anything. He took on any challenge he has, and will, encounter. Because of his defeats and accomplishments, he was respected and spoken highly of throughout the land. Because Odysseus had so many traits and was so smart, you could think of him as a man of many faces.
