My Love for Reading Books

1081 Words3 Pages

Even now my love of books hasn’t diminished. My count this year, since January, is 46. And I’m still going. Although, this time last year I was getting the books for my list off easybib. Now I keep track of everything I read on Good Reads. It’s a website that lets you track all the of the books you have read and want to read. It even gives you links to find a place to buy the,
Even though I have that at hand now, I still think that I repeated some from last year. No matter how many books I read I still have some that are forever my favorites. I am happy that I got to add to that though.
I have been reading almost nonstop this year. I could have done better over the summer but I’m happy with the numbers. I haven’t reread any of the books that I planned on yet. I have a lot sitting on the shelf that I haven’t touched. I love being able to read as much as I do, even if it takes a while longer when I have so much work to do. And I want to make sure that I read all the books I haven’t before I go back to the other ones.
I got back into one of the series that I put down awhile ago. I had a lot of work to do for school and the books got published faster that I could read them. Now I have started reading them again from the book I left off at. I have made it to the last book.
It makes me really sad to have to say goodbye to Morganville Vampires it has been one of my favorites for a long time. I remember laying in bed in my old house and reading the paper backs. When they first came out they were pretty short, so they were really easy to read. I could go through two or three of them in a day over a summer. Morganville Vampires is the type of series that gets you hooked from the beginning.
This series follows four friends through ...

...stuff like that.
I put in the poem O Captain My Captain because I really like the movie Dead Poets Society. Every time I read it I think of that movie. It’s one of my favorites. I wish I could have added Nothing Gold Can Stay, but I put that in last year. That is another poem from a favorite movie/book of mine. The Outsiders is fantastic.
Overall I like doing this project. I find a lot of new things. Also I love being able to talk about what I have read. I could talk someones ear off about books if they were willing to listen, a lot of people aren’t. Sometimes I do it anyway. I don’t think that I will ever stop reading. I can’t wait until I get a job and I don’t have homework. Then I can just come home and read all night. It would be perfect. Especially perfect if I got a writing job like I want. Reading and writing all day, that is something I could get used to.
