January 12, 2006. It was my birthday and the most tragic event of my life. I had come home to hear the horrible news that my uncle, whom I adored dearly, had passed away. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. I was heartbroken, baffled, and overall miserable. When I approached my mom and asked for the cause of his death, she replied with a downcast expression and informed me that it was due to a heart attack. At the time, I didn 't understand why him, out of all people could have had a heart attack. Our entire family had claimed that he was a born athlete. He would never touch any sort of junk food, and worked out every other day. It didn 't make any sense. Only unhealthy people had heart problems right? Many lives are lost and horrible side effects are induced upon the abuser Affecting their overall everyday life. This is why distribution of anabolic steroids should be very strictly regulated or distribution should be banned.
To understand the controversy and trend of why steroid accusation is still relevant to this day, we must first familiarize ourselves with what they are. According to the National Institute of Drug Abuse, “anabolic steroids are male hormones like testosterone or commercially produced
chemicals identical to male hormones.”(Beth) Usage of...

...say that “certain types of steroids in medicines help to treat diseases like inflammatory bowel syndrome, autoimmune diseases, joint and muscle diseases and allergies and asthma.” (Monitor)The problem lies not in the steroid, but just in the abuse of it. But, is this worth enduring seeing children hurt themselves because of low self-esteem and confidence? Maybe, but only if a balance could be found and abuse could be controlled.
To conclude, the issue of steroids is one to take heed to. It is as much as dangerous and influential as any other drug. It is time for organizations and for individuals themselves to pay attention to the consequences of this drug. The real way to achieve the true strength of many men is not to find the quickest way possible, but to travel through the long road. As the individual will not only be admired by others but by him/herself as well.

Essay about The Birthday Paradox

- Math IA - The Birthday Paradox “What is the probability that at least 2 people in a room of 30 random people will have the same birthday?” Probability is always surrounding us from stock markets to the ever-simple heads or tails. This very complicated area of mathematics can be explained in a simpler way. It is how likely an event is to happen. The probability of an event will always be between 0 and 1. The closer it is to one, the more likely the event is to happen. Essay about Shopping for Birthday Sheds

- All I wanted for my birthday was two brand new plastic storage sheds. One was needed for the yard tools and one for the kids' outdoor toys. I figured it would be safer to store them separately, because I did not really want the children poking around hedge clippers and hatchets just to find a toy. My husband came through and got me the sheds I wanted. I made it a game for the kids to put the toys away: They would open the door and try to throw the toys in from different points in the yard. That works well as long as they remember to shut the door....   [tags: Birthdays, ]
