Countless restaurants have very appetizing sounding dishes; but as soon as I read that there are mushrooms in them they become inedible to me. One thing that I have never liked no matter how many times I’ve tried is mushrooms. Furthermore it is not only the taste, which is horrendous, but the texture as well. Descriptive words are plentiful when speaking about mushrooms and how I feel about them. Comparing I t to putting an old sponge in my mouth would be an accurate assessment. Additionally, the smell is something that I don’t even want to think about to keep myself from being sick. Mushrooms themselves are even telling us not to eat them; there are so many species of mushrooms that are deadly to humans yet people continue to eat them anyways, just doesn’t make sense to me. Imagining something that might have the same texture as a mushroom would have to be that of a giant booger. Visualizing someone sticking their finger up their nose and pulling out the biggest, chewiest, slimiest booger and putting it in their mouth would summarize the consistency of mushrooms. Another way it could be described is to say that it feels like a stale gummy bear, more specifically, a gummy bear that tastes like dirt. No matter how their cooked, sautéed, grilled, thrown into soup or even deep fried, the texture doesn’t change. Not all aspects of mushrooms are unscrupulous though, oh wait, yes they are. Like previously stated they are a lot like sponges; anyone could walk into their kitchen at this moment grab the sponge they use to wash dishes or wipe down their counters and take a gigantic bite out of it. That idea would be more tolerable to me than actually taking the time to eat a mushroom. Throughout the years Latin music has slowly made an impact in the music industry in the United States, from the traditional mariachi to the vibrant Rock en Español. But it is the controversial folk-music genre called narcocorridos that has made a major impact in the last few years in the United States, mainly the southwestern states that border with Mexico. Also called drug ballads, this subgenre of the traditional corrido has emerged since the 1990’s as the principal instrument to chronicle the odyssey of Mexicans across the Rio Grande in a drug-infested universe (Stavans). Played by the tuba, an accordion, drums and a guitar, narcocorridos are about violent confrontations between cartels and the luxury lives of powerful drug lords. With the violent drug wars in the last ten years in Mexico, narcocorridos have been the music trend to many, mainly the young generation. People get influence by this music and want to live the expensive and exotic life these drug lords live by. In this research paper I am going to explain how the emergence of narcocorridos has influenced the young generation and societies in the United States and Mexico.

It is said that everybody has their own type of medicine that works for them, however on certain occasions not all of these medicines are prescribed and many strongly oppose for this type of medicine to be used. Society is programed to feel very healthy, but if when actual regarding the statistics it would be surprising to the contrary. The modern healthcare system is flawed in its basic theology. It focuses on treating the main symptoms and not treating the root cause and preventing illnesses. Tyrosinase is the enzyme most responsible for the brown color of Portabella mushrooms, as it is found in larger amounts than other pigmentations. Man has used hallucinogenic plants for thousands of years, probably since he began gathering plants for food. The hallucinogens have continued to receive the attention of civilized man through the ages. Recently, we have gone through a period during which sophisticated Western society has "discovered" hallucinogens, and some sectors of the society have taken up, for some reason or another, the use of such plants. This trend may be destined to continue.

Standing on the balcony, I gazed at the darkened and starry sky above. Silence surrounded me as I took a glimpse at the deserted park before me. Memories bombarded my mind. As a young girl, the park was my favourite place to go. One cold winter’s night just like tonight as I looked upon the dark sky, I had decided to go for a walk. Wrapped up in my elegant scarlet red winter coat with gleaming black buttons descending down the front keeping away the winter chill. Wearing thick leggings as black as coal, leather boots lined with fur which kept my feet cozy.
Looking back, I remember running through the long lush grass pretending we were at battle andtrying to take cover. I would always find myself behind the old oak tree in our back yard. This was my favorite spot. The thick trunk, like a bodyguard, protected me from the imaginary bullets that flew towards my body. I would lean against the hard bark and for some reason it was comforting to have something sturdy to lean on. It was dark brown, and every now and then a spider would nestle between the pieces of bark. Sometimes I would touch the tree to peek around the corner and my fingers would be sticky. I could never quite figure out why that was, but, nevertheless, I had the hardest time getting it off, a constant reminder of my tree.
The only food that I avoid because of a bad experience is deep fried cheese curds, and many would find avoiding cheese curds odd because I grew up in Wisconsin where deep fried cheese curds are considered a relatively popular food.
