1.0 Introduction
1.1 Background of study
Rail transportation is a transportation in which for movement of people and goods which from one location to another destination. Rail had been takes the important role in physical and economic development of town and cities in a country and it was developed over the world. Rail transport can be made a property value in a country increase and it must be needs improvement in transportation network expanding (Goldberg, 1970). Thus, the railway services need to be done with continuous improvement and it is important to the rail passengers of the range and quality of facilities and service on stations and trains (Gleave, S. It is considered a holistic approach that might be involved some factors providing an overall speed of journey (Mannering, Walter, and Scott, 2004). Wyatt (1997) states that the rail transportation has been made the urban areas to develop the transport network places with producing a good network to be placed over location with a poor network. For example in European Union (EU), the rail company had been employing around 570,000 people across passenger and freight operations in year 2012. From here, the rail transport is critical by the EU strategy to improve their economic condition. This rail sector had been makes a large contribution in oversea country.
As we know the rail is expected to a transportation which is the transport of low-carbon and least of emissions from the transport. Malaysia in always congestion situation especially in city Kuala Lumpur must be very encouraging the rail transportation greater use in future and supporting this sustainable transportation by the way of the rail transport system in Malaysia still need a lot of improve to provide the services.

The research is able giving a chance to let us conduct a research in our university and addressing the issues might be involved. There are making our research can get the suggestion or opinion among UUM students towards the rail transportation. The factor that influenced the social behavior can be identified while conduct the research. We believe that the research we conducted can be explored more suggestion on solutions to improve the rail transport services and it will be mentioned in conclusion part.
1.7 Conclusion
In conclusion, we can see that rail transport in Malaysia is very need the improvement from the trip ratio for transportation on current scenario compared to the target scenario in Peninsular Malaysia based on Figure 1 results. For next chapter, we will have a discussion about the relationship between factor influence and social behavior towards the railway transportation. Moreover, we have to find out some more reasons why people do not chosen railway transport as their movement
