Our main customers were the other employees that work in the organization, especially outside of the Information Services department. Whenever they would call in or submit a ticket electronically, we had to ensure that if we were permitted to fulfill their request, that it would be done in a prompt and friendly manner. After hours, when level one or two tickets were submitted, they were assigned and handled as soon as possible. My team rotates who has the pager on a weekly basis for these requests submitted after hours. As for suppliers, we had many vendors for software and hardware such as Cisco, Dell, Symantec, and Microsoft. We relied on them for functional hardware and reliable software. Then, I would switch my screen to show the PC I was working on -- we could have up to 29 different devices connected at the same time, excluding the main computer used to run SCCM -- and turn the device on. The PXE boot was not always successful the first time; therefore, I would have to clear it multiple times before it would work. Epic requires three different trays for printing after visit summaries, prescriptions, and labels for medications. For each print server, one printer would be listed on a certain print server three times, one for each kind of printing. We had to duplicate these printers on each print server, and you had to be logged onto that print server to make changes on it. There is a way to export the printers to all of the servers, but unless you are adding several new printers, it was easier to do it manually. Whenever one of our servers was out of memory, or very close (97%), we received an Orion alert for it. Usually, the C drive was the one that was full, since users like to save their own personal files on this drive, even though they are supposed to save it on their H drive.
