There is a multitude of reasons why I want to teach children. After a while of thinking about this, I came up with three characteristics that would expiry me as a teacher. The first one that I choose was patient. I have always been a patient person and usually am not easily angered. The second one I choose is caring, I have a nurturing, caring nature, which allows me to show love to others. Lastly I have a love for learning, I enjoy having my knowledge being challenged I view myself as an individual who has a high need for cognition as well as someone who monitors there self to regulate the tasks that need to be done. The reason why I want to teach children is because I want to help set kids on the right path so that they can be effective mentors of society. I believe teachers play a huge role on children. It is the effort of teachers that can make students prosper in life. We all begin with no absolute knowledge, but it’s our mentors help us develop in many ways. An instructor deals with many kids that act in different ways. Therefore, she must remain calm reflect on the situation to help the child. Many children complain about some activities they are told to do but they have no in interest in it. They whine and start to bother the teacher. What the mentor can do is tell the child next time we have another activity, we will do something that interests you. She can also explain to the child calmly that everyone is a part of this activity and it would be nice if you also participate in it. Continuing on with the characteristics of a teacher, a teacher must have the own love of learning. Not every child is the same and has different styles of learning.
