Why academic integrity is important and I have learnt from this experience?
For me, portraying my character is by showing my values and personal morals in real life. Whereas, representing my true academic work for getting my degree is real integrity at university in academics. The Universities main moto and fundamental value is to maintain the academic integrity. It’s not just for one reason why we need to give importance to academic integrity, there are many. “I know I have failed in maintaining the academic integrity.” There might be many reasons, but mistake is mistake. I should start my assigned home works and projects early enough that I have enough time to think and solve or work on them by my own and not be dependent on others and submit within time. Also, it’s the responsibility of not only the students but also the faculty to see that there is no feeling of any risk or disadvantage for the honest students, they have to create suchan environment in them. Always need to have some specific schedule of our daily routines and enough time for our academics. Time management is very much needed. When performing the work in reports in soft copy providing the citations in that should be much appreciated, because that is kind of respecting others work when you are using them. They are the ones who are helping us in a correct way and helping us in getting new ideas. And we should not feel bad and hide from people that we are utilizing the matter from the available sources. With that semester I have learned that we should always take the correct path, doesn’t matter how hard or difficult it would be. Personal and academic excellence is the only direction that is lead to if we maintain the academic integrity and good decision
